Amazing graphics, good difficulty, good amount of replay value
Cons
Nothing, except you can't skip cutscenes.

I had Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines for the PSP before this(got a PSP before getting a PS3). That was a lot of fun, but this is even better! The graphics for this game are insane! There is detail on every single object. The gameplay is really fun, with a not too challenging, yet not too easy difficulty. The only downside is you can't skip cutscenes. However, the story is really interesting. All in all, this a fantastic game that needs to be played by any action fanatic out there.
The first game I bought for the PS3 after my return from Iraq. The quality of this game blew my mind. I enjoyed all the time I spent playing the game and completing everything 100%.
The graphics, storyline, and game play sucked me right in. Even the twist at the end, that I never saw coming.
But after beating the game and moving along in the franchise, I have yearned for the day when Ubisoft will finally create an update that allows the game to have trophy support.
IMO, this is one of the best games in the series as far as ease of game play goes.
Extremely repetitive. No trophies. Boxed into the games plot, which is all too predictable. Minimal re-playability

I came into this one after Elder Scrolls: Oblivion and expected this to be a mixture of Oblivion and Hitman. Rewarded for not ever getting seen/discovered. Every mission was basically the same, I was locked into the plot and the time travel story was extremely predictable. Lack of trophies was the final nail in the coffin.
Very repetitive, controls can be a pain in tight spots.

Assassin's Creed was one of the first games I bought when I got my PS3 but it took a year before I actually played it. It is a fun, new experience that has its quirks.
The game becomes the same exact series of events after you assassinate your first target. This can get very old, very fast. Another downside is that you are almost always running away from the Templars (think cops in GTA but they are the bad guys) after the first 1/3rd of the game. The idea of sneaking around the city is cool in theory but it stinks that you need to hide and be anonymous in order advance.
Overall the game is a good start to a new franchise. It has its share of bumps and quirks but there is enough to like, along with a decent story plot, to merit a playthrough.
