As a huge basketball fan, I used to love playing this game at the arcade when I was younger. With this new version, it is essentially the same, but with better graphics and updated rosters of course. It's exactly how I would have wanted it and it's a blast to play. They added a couple minor tweaks that just make the game better such as Team Fire, trick shots and a ton of unlockables to customize your online banner/avatar. You earn points by winning games, completing objectives, etc. and use them to unlock different things.
The season mode features 3 different levels - each team has a bronze, silver & gold stage. They progressively get harder as you would imagine and occasionally you play a game with different rules such as 1 point dunks, 4 point alley-oops and so on. You also get to play against the unlockable characters such as retired players and mascots.
The multiplayer is great as you can play against players all over the world. There's no noticeable lag or issues when I have played online.
There are also a few gameplay adjustments if you unlock them. Big heads, different balls, disco mode and plenty more. It really is a classic arcade game that you can play in your home. I highly recommend this game!
