Plays all formats know to man. Comes with wireless Internet Connection. Has many online features. Oppo is also great at keeping up with firmware updates. Also comes with a HDMI cable
None that I can tell so far
This player is amazing! Not only does it play every format know to man 3D blu ray, DVD audio etc. But it has so many other features as well. For starters the picture quailty will blow you away. Yes you can fine tune your TV settings with Contrast, Brightness etc. But with this player you can take your picture quailty even further. It has advance video setting that allow you to do things with picture setting that you can't do with most TV's. It also has the latest Marvell Qdeo processing to upgrade your DVD and BLU Ray to 4K resolution(if you have a 4K TV of course). The remotve control even lights up with the push of a button. It's also has dual HDMI hook up. You can use one HDMI just for sound and the other HDMI cable for a video connection. (This is very importnat feature to have if you have a receiver that is only 1.3 HDMI capable and you are trying to watch a 3D blu ray) My favorite feature of all is the Zoom feature. Most TV's and blu ray players that have a zoom feature get rid of the black bars by cropping the image. Which sucks because yes you get rid of the black bars but at the same time you are actually seeing a smaller image. The Zoom feature on here allows you to get rid of the black bars but at the same time you see the entire widescreen image. Another cool thing that I have learned about Oppo is that they stay on top of firmware updates which is important. For example I had a Pioneer Elite 43fd blu ray player. I went out and bought Prometheus 3D blu ray. I tired to play it in my 43fd, it wouldn't play. So I took back to the store and got another copy. It wouldn't play either, I realized than that the promblem was that my Pioneer blu ray player needed a firmware update. Pioneer has updated the player since March. Oppo doesn't do this they stay on top of firmware updates. Prometheus played just fine in my Oppo Player
The very fact that it's a dependable Universal player.
Haven't encountered any yet.
Best piece of equipment I've ever bought. It's brought new life to my entire collection of DVDs/Blu rays/CDs/DVDAs/SACDs. User friendly, simple to operate. It replaced a pathetic 3 year-old Samsung BD player, and a Sony 5 disc changer that still worked great, just had no more room for it.
For the $500 price tag, it's an incredible bargain for all that it does. I highly recommend checking it out for yourself.
GREAT picture, very reasonable price for such a high end player, well constructed, frequent updates available.
Streaming while better than other players still has plenty of room for improvement, the wifi that comes with it is weak - better to wire or use a bridged router with a patch cable to the oppo.
I had the Sony 5000es which was one of the best on the market when it was released, then I got the Oppo 93 and it was a huge improvement with plenty more features and it too was one of the best on the market when released. Now I have the Oppo 103 and they've improved the streaming a bit with more ways to stream from your PC, better FF and RW. The picture is great and so is the sound. Very pleased.
Outstanding video and audio quality. Quick load times. Great user interface.
Haven't seen any cons yet.
I have owned this bluray player for a couple months and it just keeps getting better and better. I like how Oppo is always adding features and solving problems with its firmware updates. This is my second bluray player I have owned by Oppo and I highly recommend them to anybody.
Fantastic PQ Quality, Ease of use, Design, Multiple HDMI Outs, Set up is Simple, HDMI In the Back & Front are handy.
I have not found any flaws yet. The Firmware updates have been great and consistent. Wireless Internet built in would be cool.
I love this Blu-ray player. We use it for Netflix and I also run my Apple TV through the HDMI input on the back to upscale PQ quality even more. I love my Oppo App that works flawlessly with the player. The Separate HDMI outs is nice for Sound and PQ. I have to say the way this was packaged when I received it was fantastic... it was so cleanly packaged. I have mine hardwired to the internet.
Best Blu-ray Player I have ever owned ... Hands Down
Dazzling PQ, Pristine AQ, Solid Construction and Aesthetics, Highly-Customizable, Extensive Feature Set, Great Remote, Great Remote App, Superb Performance
NONE! Seriously. OK... it doesn't play LDs.
Reading these reviews may sound like hyperbole, but the OPPO BDP-103 really IS that good!
This BD player is easily the most-advanced, most-reliable, and most-rewarding A/V component I have ever owned. The 103 is exceptionally fast and its Qdeo video output makes Blu-rays look better than I ever thought possible, and does wonders for DVDs too!
The two HDMI outputs split the audio and video signals by default for superior A/V performance from any source connected to the player. I stream content through my AppleTV (connected through the rear HDMI input) to take advantage of the improved audio and video fidelity. And OPPO's timely firmware updates allow me to play all of the latest BD releases with confidence.
The attention to detail that obviously went into the form, function, and overall craftsmanship of this player extends to the packaging as well; the very unboxing is a treat and affirms the superior build quality of everything that lay within. Customer Service staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and easily accessible as well.
I am extremely pleased with this player. The only way I could be more satisfied would be to own the BDP-105!
