Salmon fishing is your typical early to mid year release. Movies that dont always fit the mold for your standard action, drama, comedy. The film is nonetheless special. ewan Mcgregor establishes his bona fides playing a man with Aspurgers syndrome. He has no inner monologue really, everything is said regardless of the outcome receivers would feel. The movie has an ambitious start just looking at the title. The duality is its not only a movie but more of a little bit can go a long way. That when the words middle east are heard. They arent synoymous with oil, United States, amd war. Good can be had in all places and be destroyed in all places as is exemplified in the story. Prodigious acting from Mcgregor, the sheik, and Kristin Scott Thomas, Blunt gets a nod but as far as talent she isnt quite yet on the same level. Thorough fun heartwarming film that brings complex people into a situation. Overall worth watching.
