i had owned the sony bdps350 bluray player before this unit.the 350 was a very good machine,i never had any disc issues with it.it played every disc that i had ever thrown at it.this was one of the main factors in me buying the 370.one of the new features on this 370 which the 350 didnt have is a new usb port on the front, this is great for looking at pictures,or listening to music stored on a usb key.the other feature is that it is very fast at starting up and loading up discs,i am comparing this to my 350,and samsung 1500.the picture and sound from the bluray player is brilliant.the menu screen is very easy to navigate through and the internet acces is brilliant.you can acess tou tube, radio blogs, check out all the latest film trailers, etc.i would give this player 10 out of 10.one thing to remember is that this player can be wireless but you have to buy the sony adaptor and this cost 90 euro.only the sony adaptor will work i tried a different brand and it wouldnt work, the guy in the local sony shop said they tried different adaptors to the sony themselves and nothing worked.
small, sleek, thin, easy to use & its works great with my TV
Cons
no cons from what i can tell its all around great!

I picked up a Sony 46" Bravia LED LCD TV (EX700) and the store was giving this player away with it for free. I thought OK whatever, a backup blu ray player for free, bonus. I was expecting it to be a schlocky piece of crap. Boy was I wrong, this thing looks amazing. I hate to say it but it looks better than my Pioneer BDP 320. It's very easy to use as well. Its played everything I've plugged into it so far with no issues. I would recommend picking one of these up. It's a great blu ray player.
Shaking and high frequency disc spinning whining durin BD playback.
Review
PQ and SQ are both perfect and it´s quick BUT:
Maybe because unit is so slim, there are several disturbing types of noise coming out. During blu-ray playback sometimes mechanical lower frequence resonance makes the whole unit shake strongly, so strongly that my amplifier shakes too. My S370 does also very high pitched whining during spinning the disc, that really disturb during watching movie. I changed s370 unit once to another similar s370 type. What I got was ever worse than first s370 I had!
Sony has been my long time favourite. Generally their products has been good and lasted many years. Even if this s370 was quite cheap, I got to bring it back to market. Anyway I really loved this idea of combining blu-ray and super audio. Someday I defenitely will buy Sony. Got to wait till next, better and less noisy model will be released...
Easy to use Awesome Picture and Sound! Quick Start up!
Cons
No Built in WiFi, other wise it's great!

I've had this a few months now and I love it.
It's my very first Blu Ray player, i havent had any problems with it at all.
I find that my old movies Ex: Rain Man upconverts very well! I'm impressed actually!
And although I have a 720p / 1080i Samsung the picture looks stunning on Blu Ray!
This is my 1st bluray player which i bought RM399. IMHO this player is the best so far..value for money, dead silence operation. The interface is simple..like PSP n PS.
Sony Tag, Fast booting, Excellent X-crossbar menu (user friendly), impressive video & sound quality, price
Cons
nothing i can think of given its price

I bought this blu-ray player on boxing day last year for $220 NZD. I was really impressed by its X-cross menu bar which gives you a "digital" feel! Video quality is great as expected from sony. Plays almost all formats. It even played youtube downloaded videos in .flv format. Well worth buying. I give it 4.5.
PQ and AQ are outstanding. mkv file playability is outstanding. Internet video is excellent.
Cons
no NTFS only FAT32 & FAT format support.

I bought this player for RS.8990/-. I got 2 bluray disc 1 hdmi cable and av cable with it. The player is very fast in case of turning on and bluray disc loading. There is a very good user interface present as xmb is superb. Internet video is supporting upto 16 services here in India. With this price and these functionalities the player is a must buy. It has 2 usb ports which is great cause most of bluray players doesn't have 2 usb ports.
I've had this player for over a year now. I'm not sure what to say apart from the picture and sound are both amazing! What more do you want from a blu ray player. Not sure what the guy is on about in one review when he says its noisy. Mine is silent
Can't think of any cons really at this price point.

My first gen fat ps3 gave up the ghost and not needing a 3d player I went to the local comet store to look at the budget players and saw this player for a really cheap price due to being the display model ! So I decided to take a gamble on it and I've gotta say this is a brilliant player worth at least twice what I payed for it a. And a pretty worthy upgrade to the ps3 might I add.
The picture quality is definetly an upgrade to the ps3 and the sound seems slightly better but maybe that's a placebo effect on the sound.
overall I would highly recommend this player especially now it's a little older and can be picked up for a really good price.
