It is an awesome blu-ray player but I have been a Sony fan since the Ps1 came out and was an early adopter of that. The best things about the playstation are, the speed, easy upddates, quiet, built in wi-fi, and of couse the blu-ray games and movies.

I bought this model just before God of War III and was impressed with it's quality. It's fast, quiet, and easy to set up. The games look great on it, though there is some texture blurring during movement when certain games are upscaled to 1080p. Blu-rays look great and Sony's continuous updates mean that you'll never be stuck with a disc that won't work. The best value for the gamer looking to upgrade to Blu-ray. Recommended.

they make all these up dates but they can't make it work with 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz and single pick up range is poor. but thanks to a recent update it can now works with my 3d tv when it comes to playback 3d games in 3d but they still hasn't made a update play 3d movies in 3d just able to play the 3d disc movie but not in 3d that's still to come. great graphics great audio specially with a sound system. it also very simple setup the settings you select auto setup up on both audio and video and it will set the unit to the right settings for you based on how and what you are using it with and set up. and you get free online gaming unless you wan't the plus membership packing if not all the game demos you wan't unlike xbox360 which is great.

i use the ps3 as an extra blu ray which the p q keeps up with my samsung c6900 if not it keeps up with some of the best, loading times on certain movies could be a bit slower still a pretty fast blu ray i play online wireless games play great i run it on a 46 unc8000 led Samsung 3d. i use a monster 1000 21gbps speed and it does make a difference for movies and games i play wipeout in 3d and the 3d works very good. i only wish the sound was better for movies in 3d
it can do netflicks in full 1080p with nice graphics and the optical doesn't hurt.
