Runs cooler than the fatty. Definitely quieter too. It's cheaper than the 40GB I bought when it came out.

I ended up having to replace my 40GB after it overheated and died (yeah, I dunno how that happened. It was very well ventilated). Except for having to shell out again for another playstation I've been really happy with it. It runs quietly. It has a decently sized hard drive that I'm not going to feel inclined to fill up with crap. ...though if I feel like it eventually I will still be able to.
In spite of the recent troubles with the Playstation Network it's still a relatively good experience that is free for the most part (except for premium content).
It has fantastic blu-ray playback. It upscales DVD. It's constantly kept up to date by Sony so you never have to worry about whether your player will in fact play the disc you've just put in. It'll do 3D if you need it to.
Quieter than my old 40G fatty. Does 3D. Cool games. Netflix. Now has NFL Sunday Ticket...Awesome!!!

i have also a 250gb unit i do see one or two things different that's all a little bit better internet range like 1 or 2 percent that's all and the size of the hard drive one other thing i noticed that it doesn't use as much less power and setup or setting choices are a little bit different work wise and so fourth i think they shouldn't have released it we would have been better off with the 250 because there hasn't been much change forward.
