After an explosive disaster, the Klingon's backs are against the wall. They either make peace with the Federation or they become homeless. Both sides, however, are extremely skeptical about each others motives. Captain James T. Kirk and company are ordered to help escort the Klingons to the negotiations. After a daring assassination attempt is made aboard the Klingon ship, all suspicion slides upon the Federation. Captain Kirk and Doctor McCoy give themselves over to give assistance and help avert a war. However, they are arrested and tried after the negotiator dies. To no ones surprise they are convicted and sent to the infamous Klingon underground hard-labor camp on the inhospitable frozen asteroid, Rura Penthe. Once again Kirk, Spock, and McCoy must overcome the impossible and sort it all out. Not only do they have to save themselves, but they need to save the Federation and Klingons from themselves!
