Movie was stupid. Both leads deserved to die. How do you lose a shotgun? You have to be completely inept to lose a shotgun. Also, they had the element of surprise. They should have lured the intruders in and then shot them. Instead, the advertised they had a weapon to the killers.
Another thing is when you see a house that looks burglarized or vandalized, wouldn't you immediately call the police?
Also, you need to just get in the car and leave. If the car doesn't work, just run from the damn house.
These people deserved to die. Talk about sheep. They are not fighters. You think when an animal is wounded or cornered, it would become the most dangerous. Not the leads in this movie. They obviously hated life and wanted to die. They had a shotgun, they lost that. They had knives, they lost that. They had a car, they lost that.
What makes someone think to go back to the site of danger. Hell, I would have been gone immediately.
16 bit audio? Is that correct? If it's true, that is defiling a classic. Matrix should have been given better audio. I'll have to wait till the price comes down to $45 or lower and see for myself. Movies this old won't hold value for long.

John Constantine has literally been to hell and back. When he teams up with skeptical
policewoman Angela Dodson to solve the mysterious suicide of her twin sister, their
investigation takes them through the world of demons...
The major problem for me is the picture. Specifically, the video transfer. The movie isn't very old. The picture isn't sharp. Detail is dull. Close up shots that should hit a viewer with detail leave you feeling you watched a standard DVD. Still I'm glad I got this Blu-ray for under $14-15. Not too bad for that price.
I expect a lot better detail, color, and resolution from a rather new movie. This is blu-ray we're talking about.
Of course, I like the movie. I must like it because I've watched it over and over now. Not really sure why. Something attracts me to Constantine.

In 2002, two rival Olympic ice skaters were stripped of their gold medals and permanently banned from men's single competition. Presently, however, they've found and exploit a loophole that allows them to qualify as a pairs team.
I honestly loved this movie. I blind bought it after seeing Ricky Bobby. I just get and enjoy this type of humour. I also like all of Adam Sandler's movies. Some more than others though.

While SG-1 attends the execution of Ba'al, the last of the Goa'uld System Lords, Teal'c and Vala inexplicably disappear into thin air. Carter, Daniel and Mitchell race back to a world where history has been changed: the...
I was surprised how much better Continuum was from the Ark of Truth. The Ark of Truth was hard to watch. It was a really bad one hour episode stretched to a movie length. Another thing about Ark of Truth is the bad directing and/or editing. It felt like they didn't hire a good director or spent enough time preparing the movie. Ark of truth was just awful and I really love Stargate.
Then comes Continuum on blu-ray. I was impressed because continuum felt like they upped the quality of the directing, preparation, and editing. The story seemed worked on more. Honestly, I love Richard Anderson. I forgot how much he contributed to the show. I think Mr Anderson needs to be back to full time in the movies, but I understand he has personal reasons. He is so funny. Cameron Mitchell is just a serious guy. When he tells jokes it seems forced.
General Landry had a powerful and pivotal scene. I was impressed with his acting prowess. When he is allowed to be serious, he has phenomenal acting range. Basically, he can do more than jokes. When he got angry during the movie, I realized how he overwhelmed the other actors with his presence.
Continuum's jokes worked a lot better. They kept the story more serious. I was also surprised at the turns. It kept me guessing. I liked that they put a harder edge on the characters. Some characters got killed. I'm surprised at how graphic the violence was.
They tried to be original on this movie vs ark of truth. Basically, a lot more money was put in to the movie from the writing, to directing, to the editing.
It is hard to do better than a time travel episode, but I'm hoping that stargate can continue to put out quality direct to video movies. I'd hate to see them butcher the franchise like they did with Ark of Truth.
Continuum is an excellent addition to the Stargate franchise. I'm proud to recommend this movie under $20. But only if you are a stargate fan before hand.

I am not a fan of movies ported over from HD-DVD. With the capacity of blu vs HD-DVD, the uncompressed audio track should have at least been higher than CD quality 16 bit. Look at fantastic fours DTS-Master Audio track and the amazing bit rate. The video should be mpeg-4. Batman begins is a classic and should have been treated as such. I actually canceled my pre-order of Batman Begins. I'm waiting for a higher bit-rate in audio and better video. Or maybe I'll wait till amazon has a 2 for 3 special again.
Again, Batman Begins is a very good film. The blu-ray presentation of that film could have been so much better.
