Phryne Fisher sashays through the back lanes and jazz clubs of late 1920's Melbourne fighting injustice with her pearl handled pistol and her dagger sharp wit.
The production values are excellent in this hit Australian TV series based on best selling novels down under. The actors all do a great job in their roles set in 1920's Melbourne. A female flapper detective effortlessly solves murders and works with the local police detective to help solve crimes. If you like Murdoch Mysteries you will luv this series. Season Two is in production now and I can't wait to see it!

I saw Titanic in 3D IMAX and was amazed at how wonderful the post 3D looked and this Blu Ray is nothing short of spectacular! Of course did we ever doubt that it would be anything less than perfect? Hats off to James Cameron simply one of the (if not the best film maker of our time) in making the best use of 3D technology! This movie while long is still very entertaining after seeing it multiple times (only 4 and counting) which makes it a classic for all ages. The P/Q and 3D on this Blu Ray makes you feel as if you are on the Titanic. The depth perception is quite impressive and the CGI looks so real! The A/Q sounds amazing too! This is one of the must have 3D Blu Rays to have in any serious movie collection. Now I can't wait for Avatar 3D Limited Edition! I know normally I wouldn't triple buy a movie title but Avatar would be the exception!

My buds and I watched TDOTM in glorious 3D last night and were amazed at how great it looked and sounded! Well we knew the 7.1 HD Audio would sound earth shattering on my 8.2 system (8 speakers & 2 subwoofers). I am really enjoying the 7.1 HD soundtracks and hope that someday that becomes the standard. Anyway I saw this film in 2D blu ray and have to say I prefer the 3D version which really shows amazing depth to most scenes. I resisted buying this Blu Ray in 3D for a long time but have to say this is by far a reference quality 3D BD to show off to your friends. Don't hesitate with this purchase!

This movie IMO is much better than 300 and the Blu Ray has outstanding audio and video quality. After reading the review regarding the 3D I was a little worried about the quality however after watching this film on my TV I can honestly say the 3D is outstanding. This 3D presentation adds depth to every scene (not gimmicky where things are popping out at you).
We all know the history about this film going way over budget (at the time most expensive movie ever made) and the number one box office hit of 1963 didn't make enough money back for the studio. The set direction and costumes are top notch! The three leads Elizabeth Taylor, Rex Harrison (Oscar nominated role) and Richard Burton (possibly the greatest actor to ever live without ever getting an Oscar) were all excellent as Cleopatra, Julius Cesar and Mark Anthony. The Blu Ray is nothing short of amazing! The colors and textures are vibrant and you feel like you are a part of the spectacle of Alexandria and Rome! This Blu Ray is like seeing and hearing this film for the first time in all its glory! Cleopatra has excellent visuals and sound on the Blu Ray format and if you want to show off your TV and BD format this is the movie to display!

This is by far the best Toy Story film of the trilogy! The 3D is top notch and sound quality is 7.1 which only enhances the story (if that's possible). This is a movie I will watch many times and still enjoy every minute of it!
ARABIA 3D reveals a unique culture, a history full of adventure, an environment of extreme challenges, a people of strong faith, and a chance for a film to bridge cultures and reduce misunderstanding between peoples.
This was a great IMAX 3D film. The depth perception was outstanding and the visuals were excellent! I agree that the story could have been more involved (so to speak) but I understand that IMAX movies like this are really made for children to learn and hopefully become interested in topics they may not know. This is reference quality 3D blu ray and a great way to show off your new TV!

I purchased this exclusive 3D bundle at Best Buy for $2.00 more than the 2D Blu Ray so not much lost and for 200 cents more definitely worth the purchase. I watched the 2D and 3D BRD select scenes and have to admit the 2D is sharper of course but the 3D was more exciting to watch! I am glad that I have both as this is the best Harry Potter movie of them all!

The Return to Cranford is a very good follow up to the original Cranford. The P/Q on this blu ray is top notch and A/Q is DTS HD which is quite good. There are no extras but then again for the most part I don't care for many extras as I don't have time to watch them. Also, the blu ray is Region Free not Region B locked as reported here.

OMG this classic movie is made 10 times more enjoyable (if that is possible) to watch in 3D. The depth and detail of every scene is quite amazing! Only once did I even see a slight hint of ghosting when Belle's father entered the Beast's castle (slight ghosting around his head for a split second). I am new to 3D but from what I have read most of the 3D releases are not up to par with this release. But then again Disney usually leads the way IMO in excellent video products.

This movie like others have said is about two straight men pretending to be gay lovers to share an apartment with a beautiful woman. Of course we all know that India has some of the most beautiful looking people on the planet and the stars of this movie are wow lookers! Two of my favorite male actors (John Abraham & Abhishek B.) are in this movie. Overall the movie was fast paced however the infamous kissing scene is a little goofy and long played (but this movie is intended for Indian audiences not us) and makes since. I have watched and own many Bollywood movies over the years and have to say this movie was milestone for having the first openly gay characters (however they were portrayed as having overly effeminate qualities (which would turn off most gays) but if one can't laugh at their culture being exaggerated well then they may take life too seriously. The point is that the movie was funny with of course great music! Their is a sequel in the works.

What Can I Say? This is one of the best movies I have ever seen!
Wow! The visual imagery in this movie is amazing! I was skeptical at first as the first 30 minutes or so are so unusual you are wondering if what you are watching is boring or a work of art. The origin of the universe scenes were nothing short of breathtaking! This movie begins mostly as a narrative then shifts into the storyline similiar to a film but the visuals and direction is something I have never seen before. You have to put the pieces together from the narrative but it's obvious which brother dies, etc. This is not a mystery or something so mind boggling that you can't understand the film. Terrence Malick makes the film a touching loving story of a family with ups and downs. At times I had flashbacks of my childhood which I haven't thought of or felt in a very long time. Brad Pitt deserves an Oscar nomination along with Best Director, Best Actress, Best Cinematography, Art Direction, Best Editing, Best Music and of course Best Picture. Will the Acadamy embrace this film (hard to tell) but they should whole heartedly!!! OBTW this blu ray is nothing short of reference quality P/Q & A/Q!
Lucas has done a respectable job of presenting these movies in high definition. For the most part they look very good. Yes there are a few brief scenes here and there that don't look so great but overall I would say these films look the best on HD! Now the audio is just amazing and it blows you away on all three films! Excellent sound that brings these films alive again in my living room. The first two movies ANH & ESB are classics in the true sense! ROTJ has moments of greatness but spending a good half hour on Jabba the Hut and then dealing with the teddy bears really brings this movie down IMO. But you have the great space battle, the amazing pod race through the redwoods and the father / son reunion not to mention the duel with the emperor. The good moments significantly outweigh the bad or the silliness of the added bar scene (is Lucas sipping the wrong kool-aid?). Finally the writing and the actors look tired and I think felt like some of the lines were awful. Ok I won't nitpik anymore. Overall still my second favorite trilogy of all time after LOTR's.

I am obsessed with WW2 and this documentary is very good at showing us the world at war! The P/Q is good not amazing like The World At War BD but it does the job. The audio quality is quite amazing! The sound made this documentary seem so much more real than your ordinary soundtrack. I purchased this BD for $13.99 and at that price it really is a steal!

After reading this reviewer I think he made a mistake with the marking of the A/Q & P/Q of this film. Even in his review he praises the P/Q and A/Q so I really think he meant to give each section a 4 or higher instead of just a 3! I really enjoyed this film. Did not know what to expect but the P/Q & A/Q is quite impressive. The soundtrack is wonderful and enhances the movie during the fight scenes. I own the Yes Asia version but from the specs it is the same film. I was in Japan when they released this film and really wanted to see it but waited until it had English subtitles.
This is the only way to enjoy the Trilogy with the extended scenes mostly enhancing the story not dragging it down. The P/Q & A/Q is top notch (much better than the Theatrical BD's) especially FOTR. I thoroughly enjoy watching these movies and for the life of me don't understand how FOTR did not win Best Picture and Ian McKellan Best Supporting Actor! The Two Towers is my least favorite but only by a hair and of course the importance of TT is connecting FOTR & ROTK. I don't mind the DVD's as the case for each movie houses 2 BD's and 3 DVD's. Don't understand why each movie could not have been put on one Blu Ray instead of two but I am sure Peter Jackson had his reasons. There is no reason to have all the fan club members names on the end credits but the additional music is great when the credits are rolling. Overall this is for me the best BD release of the year!

Sheryl Crow never sounded better! I saw her in concert with Stevie Nicks and was suprised how good she actually sounds live. Overall the P/Q isn't as bad as I thought it would be from reading reviews however comparing this series to other BD releases and the picture is average at best. This show deserves better quality P/Q as I watch this show every week faithfully ( I love True Blood but feel this show moves faster and is more enjoyable IMHO ) and the HD quality is quite good on DTV so don't understand why there is a poor video transfer. I have a Samsung 52" and the picture is watchable and I only paid $23.49 at Amazon for 22 episodes so it was a very good deal! I am hoping that Warner Bros. will start to take better care in presenting their shows on BD format. My god Warner take a look at AMC and HBO and tell me why you can't keep up with that kind of quality!!! I can't wait for Season 2 of Vampire Diaries but will wait until the price is lower to offset the average quality of the Blu Ray disc.

Murdoch mysteries are based on a set of novels by Maureen Jennings about a forensic detective during the age ofg invention. Finger marking (now finger printing) just came into existence among other scientific clues (forensics) that helps Detective Murdoch in solving murders. There are only four major characters in the series and over time you really know these quirky individuals. I rented the first two seasons from Netflix and loved this show so much that I purchased this BD from an Amazon seller. I hope they put the other seasons on BD but I have to tell you that watching the first two seasons on DVD that the upscaling was pretty darn good. Season four of the series airs starting in June in Canada. Also, this Canadian series has received over 25 Gemini award nominations (our Emmy award) since it started. Now it airs in the UK and Australia. I have Direct TV and don't know if it airs on any of our channels. If you like period dramas (Masterpiece Theatre) thrown in with a little comedy to lighten things up and mysteries then this is a show worth checking out. Usually don't know who the killer is until the very end!
Flagship of Classic Blu Ray Releases this Year So Far!
I have seen this movie so many times that I can't remember how many times I have watched it. This Blu Ray is amazing in P/Q and the audio is great as well. Granted the audio is not of new releases HD sound but for a movie released in the 50's it is! I was blown away by the picture quality! This is the way to upgrade old movies to make sure they stand the test of time! I hope other classic movies are meticuliously digitally remastered as this one! I don't even care if the film is spread across 2 discs (though I don't know why?) but how hard is it to get off my lazy butt and put in a disc?! I wish Peter Jackson would of released LOTR trilogy with such care to picture quality! Watch and weep Peter! This is what your greatest trilogy should look like on blu ray!!!

Like usual the Oscar for Best Picture goes to a movie that while good was not great! Think of LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring losing to this movie! Unbelieveable! But what was also unbelieveable that year was that Russell Crowe was robbed of the Oscar for Best Actor (which went to deservingly Denzel Washington) however Crowe won every other major award up to the Academy Awards! Crowe should think twice before punching out reporters! Anyway the soundtrack to this movie is excellent and stands on its own! And Ron Howard was long overdue for his Best Director Oscar and Best Picture Oscar so why not Beautiful Mind?!!
Boring! Boring! Boring! This Film Will Win the Oscar for Best Picture
I agree with dstudie that this movie was the worst I have seen since the Hurt Locker! I rated the BD for A/Q & P/Q was excellent. However Hollywood has forgotten the basics of what makes a movie great - you have to be able to identify and care about the characters in the film. I had no feelings watching this movie and I have to be honest after the first hour (right when Justin Timberlake entered the film) I had to turn it off. I was so bored that I kept asking myself - this is Best Picture material? I will admit the production values were top notch, etc. The performances weren't bad they were ok! I just didn't care about anyone in this movie and I think Facebook is the greatest innovation of the 21st century so far. My family and friends (many which have been reunited) because of Facebook! I don't know - maybe I am just tired of critics and Hollywood kukoos telling me what I should call entertainment! Sorry I am not a follower but a leader and I am not getting on the bandwagon for this movie!

Kingdom of Heaven is an epic adventure about a common man who finds himself thrust into a decades long war.

Ridley Scott should never have agreed with the movie studio in editing this film down from the original director's cut. This version makes sense and ties all the stories together.
