Okay, I'm going to be honest here. I'm not a PQ expert. I'm watched this movie just like the rest of my movies in 1080i on my Sony Projection TV. I was a little dissappointed with the first release of the PQ.
I went ahead and bought the movie and watched it. PQ IMO, was good, but I wouldn't consider it reference quality. I gave the PQ a 4.0 because the jungle scenes and the close up of the characters were nicely detailed from my eyes.
There was the scene with Carl Weathers in the beginning of the movie where the PQ lacks the detail.
The AQ IMO was the same which was pretty good for a 1987 film. Plenty of bass when the chain gun is being used during the battle scenes. This would be a good reference disc for AQ for older titles to compare too. I'd give the AQ a 4.5.
If you're skeptical with this release regarding the PQ. I would wait till this release hits $9.99, or you can get the original release for the same price. Based on what I've watched yesterday. I'm happy with this release, and I'm now looking forward to Predators to hit theaters in July.

Great Bond movie! My new favorite behind Goldeneye
This movie was outstanding. Love the story, and action. I'm not really a Bond fan, but this title turns heads. This movie has replay value all over it. This is also another one of my favorite action movies in my collection.
I give the Video a 4.5 with stunning visuals. As for the Audio I gave it the same rating. The action scenes are intense and this will give your HT system a work out. I'd recommend this title for anyone that loves action, and a little bit of romance.

I'm not too familiar with the whole comics, and super hero scene. I wasn't expecting much except for an action packed movie. Well, it was a great ride. I enjoyed this movie. Pretty good story for someone that isn't into these types of movies. This took me by surprise because I kept putting this movie off thinking I'll be wasting my 2 hours, but I was wrong when I finally got around to it.
PQ is outstanding. I had to give that a 5 because the animation was top notch. The best part of this transfer is the AQ. Very note worthy in the fighting/action scenes. Lots of bass for my sub to feed off from. I'd consider this a reference disc for both PQ and AQ.

extraordinary battle for the future of humankind through the eyes of one American
family. Fleeing from an extraterrestrial army of killer...
This is a great movie overall. Story wise it was exciting from start to finish. Although the ending could of been better. PQ was okay at times during the day time scenes, but the best part of this BD release is the AQ. This is reference material if you want to show off your sound system. Plenty of bass scenes! I'd recommend this movie to anyone that likes a Sci-Fi thriller, and for those that are into Audio.
Not the scary movie type, but the story itelf made it worth it.
Just go done watching it for the first time ever. Got for $9.99 at Best Buy when it was on sale. If you're looking for a real scary movie. You may be disappointed with this title. This movie wasn't scary at all, and I do get scared easily. I liked the story of this movie. I was thinking it was going to lame, but it turned out to be pretty decent.
The PQ was as good as it gets with the release. Very clear, and colorful. The AQ was decent, but I wished it was DTS HD Master instead of Dolby True HD. This disc is not reference material even when things popped out to scare you, but the movie itself was the story here for this BD release.
If you're into ghost story movies, I'd pick this when it's on sale. At that price, it should not disappoint.
In just a few short years, Notorious B.I.G. rose from the streets of Brooklyn to become one of

Underated movie, but classic for those Hip-Hop headz!
When I heard that they were going to make and release a Biggie movie. I thought it was going to straight lame! I didn't go to the movies to see it, but I did buy the movie on release week. After watching this movie. I can say that this was a very strong movie regarding to the Hip-Hop community, and for those that grew up in the streets. I thought this movie was executed to near perfection. The character that played BIG was almost flawless. The only downside to this movie was the character to Tupac. I thought he was pretty lame playing as him.
PQ was nice and very colorful. I gave it a 4 since there's some grain, but I only seen this movie once and that was last year. (My review on this is 6/10/10). The AQ was I think very note worthy. The music was clear, and it felt as if you're watching a blu-ray concert at times. Well done!
Overall. If you're a fan of Hip-Hop, or you can relate something to what Biggie did on the streets all the way to his music career. I would pick this up just to reminisce the prime of Hip-Hop, and the conflict between East, and West Coast.

I have not seen the original film, but this one I like just because there's plenty of action, blood, and suspense! I like how the story evolved with the characters as they try to survive what is probably the end of the world.
PQ was okay. Nothing to brag too much about, but it isn't considered something you would show off. AQ was pretty good in that dept. Plenty of action scenes for your speakers to feed on. I gave the PQ a 4.5/5, and the AQ a 4.5/5.
Overall, I'd get this movie on sale under $15 since there's mixed reviews. To me, it has replay value all over it, and this is a great horror movie that stands out alone. Happy with my purchase.

Movie was pretty good. I enjoyed it, but not the BD experience due to the fact the PQ is not good at all. I had to give that a 1/5 because this is the worst PQ transfer I've seen on BD. If there was an improvement, I could of rated the overall score to maybe a 4.0.

I'm not a TV show guy, and I don't spend my week nights watching any kind of show other than sports. I don't have HBO either, but I went ahead and picked this box-set on release week of May 2009. Watched the first episode and from there I was completly hooked! I ended up watching at least 4 straight episodes the same night. Although that I've stated I don't watch TV shows, I thought this was very well done. I'm not into fantasy, vampires, or werewolves but this series puts all of this fairy tale stuff as if it was reality.
PQ was very good. A little grainy too me, but not in a bad way. Day time shots were outstanding. AQ was very good as well, but nothing explosive. I wouldn't consider this a reference disc, but the series itself is the one that shines on Blu-ray.
I highly recommend this series to anyone who likes a tastes of Blood, Sex, and pure Drama!

The movie itself was okay, I did not expect this to be much of a drama movie. I was expecting more of a suspense film, but that's what I get for not reading the reviews, or doing more research on this particular release.
Movie started out slow, and I thought it was too long. A little disappointed with the ending. Not a big fan of this film because I expected the opposite.
PQ looked good just like any other BD release. The AQ wasn't mind blowing, but this release has plenty of dialogue so I rated the AQ a 3.5/5.

I had to rate this movie a 2.5/5. I would consider this bad horror movie. It's the same as the others, and there's nothing spectacular compared to the first one. I would probably rent, or if you do decide to buy. I'd get it on clearance.
PQ of this film was pretty good. The AQ was also note worthy, even in the opening scene with the race cars on the track. IMO, this is the only thing that's worth about this release was the PQ, and AQ.

Best Batman movie which makes this my first purchased BD!
Just like everyone on this board. Everyone basically owns TDK in their BD collection. The movie was very well done. IMO, this is the best Batman movie made up to date. The movie has a good twist to it if you have never seen the movie.
AQ is also well done and I would consider this a reference disc if you have a nice HT setup. I thought the PQ is excellent watching this on a 1080i Sony Projection TV.
Overall. This movie doesn't get any better than this. If there's going to be a 3rd movie. I'd hate to be disappointed because the way the series is going. It's going to be very tough to top TDK

This movie was a blind buy. I thought it was well worth the purchase. I'm not into chick flicks, but this was well done. IMO, this has pretty good replay value just because it was funny. I thought the active was very well done. The story line jumped from one place to another which is pretty unique in it's own way.
I gave the video a 4, and the audio a 4. Nothing jaw dropping here. Just a simple transfer for a nice movie to watch for your date.

I gave this movie a perfect rating for the Horror Genre!
If you're looking for a scary movie! Don't look anywhere. Pick up this movie if you're into horror flicks. This movie is the scariest movie I've seen in a long time. I cannot watch this movie alone. The movie has a very good story line to it, which I think can be very possible in reality. It keeps you guessing and holding on to your seat because you don't know what to expect.
I have the PQ/AQ as a 4. I wouldn't really consider this a reference disc, but the movie itself is the one that stands out alone. It does sound even more creepier with a 7.1 surround. This is a must have for any Horror fans out there that never seen this.

One of favorite action movies growing up comes to Blu-ray!
Cliffhanger is one of the movies I watched hundreds of times growing up.
I was very surprised with this transfer. Especially the AQ. I was blown away how well an older movie can sound on BD. PQ was pretty good too since I had this movie recorded on tape using my VHS.
This movie is a great action flick that I can watch over and over again. I'm very pleased about this transfer. I'd suggest you pick this up when it's on sale.
Forget about the people that said this movie stinks. I thought it was pretty entertaining due to the fact that his movie looks, and sounds good from start to finish regarding PQ/AQ.
Like many others said that I do agree. The acting could of been better, and the last several mins of this movie was not really necessary. It could of been reduced but overall the movie gets a 4/5 because this is a movie that has good replay value.
The extra bonus disc is also a plus as well. Very informative even though it's probably fiction.

Another Disney/Pixar Classic. My personal favorite!
The best thing about this movie when I watched it in theaters was how funny this movie was. A big reason why is because of the talking dogs. That alone actually made me laugh out loud in the theater. I was probably the loudest one seriously.
After much anticipation waiting for this release. I had to buy this movie and watch it over, and over again. I love this movie so much it brings the smile and child out of me. This is probably my favorite Disney movie behind Pinocchio.
Video of course is outstanding. It's a perfect. You never go wrong with a Disney/Pixar release. AQ is great as well since the disc is for 7.1. If you're looking to showoff your collection. I'd use this title so your audience can drop their jaws when they take a look at UP!

Just like several of my blu-ray collections. This movie is another outstanding blind buy. When I read the threads about it, I had to pick this up to see what everyone was talking about.
I was very amazed on how well this movie was put together. Out of your seat thriller. I was a little worried when that bomb would go off because this BD has awesome AQ. This is another reference BD you can use to showoff that sound system you have at home.
PQ was a little grainy, but in a bad way. This was probably meant by the director. If anyone is looking for a unique war film that stands out from the rest I'd pick this up when there's a good sale. In my eyes this is probably in the Top 5 war movies of all-time.
I'd pick this movie up ASAP. This is one of several blind buys I made for 2009. This has to probably be the few, if not the best blind buys I purchased for blu-ray PERIOD! Movie is short and very sweet. Great story line though it was short, but there's nothing that was left behind. Just pure action!
PQ is a near perfect again since this is a new film. AQ is outstanding with the gun fire scenes. Lots of bass! You can consider this a reference disc if you wanted to.
If you have not checked out this movie. Don't hesitate at all to pick this one up!

Movie started out a little slow for my tastes, but during the middle all the way to the end the movie had more action, and funny scenes. It was pretty unique in it's own way regarding the end. I had a good time watching this film last night for the first time. If you're into a combination of Horror, Action, Comedy. This movie is for you!
PQ is almost perfect since the film is fairley new. AQ has it moments during the action sequences but I wouldn't consider it a reference disc. The soundtrack however was also a plus!
Overall this movie is short, and Fun. Great to play when you have friends and don't have anything to do.

The movie was pretty good regarding the story line. There's some parts where it could of been better but I won't spoil it for the viewer. I'll say that there's a BIG surprise awaiting at the end of the movie which made it enjoyable and fun to watch.
This release is reference material. PQ/AQ is OUTSTANDING and it has to be in my Top 3 in my BD collection. I'm a huge Terminator fan. If they can make the actual movie better for it's next release. This could of been a perfect. Nonetheless. This is a BD you should pick up to show off and to enjoy the thrill.
