When you think of Disney, you think of the classics.. those wonderful movie masterpieces with dazzling animation and music, and the past several years, Disney has had trouble creating the same types of classics they have always had. However, that all ends with the Princess and the Frog.
The Princess and the Frog is the return to beautiful and dazzling hand-drawn animation. With memorable and upbeat songs to bring the story together, the story of our newest princess and the newest collection of some of the most unforgettable characters is a new Disney classic in the making. The movie itself is of utmost quality and remains up with the greatest classics Disney Animation has produced.
The video quality on this release is absolutely GORGEOUS. The animation is brilliant, the colors pop wonderfully and the details are pristine. Very impressive when matched up with the animation.
Audio quality, again, is pristine. The songs and music really tie the movie together, and the New Orleans jazzy beats has the audio quality needed and expected from a Disney classic.
The extras are, for the most part, great. You get a great mix of deleted scenes and a work in progress version of the film, which are in my opinion, the highlights of the extra features.
Overall the release is definitely worth the money. Any collector or buyer interested in Disney's past classics, animation, or simply kindhearted fun films should grab this release and put it on their shelves.
