The difference to me between a 4 - good and a 5 - great home theater is always how much sweat and elbow grease someone puts into their theater! Seeing little things like making the subwoofer stand and your now playing display push it to a 5 man! Awesome stuff!

I think your riser maybe flawed. The wood would still interact with the ground, therefore vibration will go from the sub to the riser and to the floor. If you look at Auralex risers, only the foam pad interacting with the floor, no wood..
