This the picture of Da-Lite projector screen in the main HT room. The room isn't finished yet. More work needs to be done in wire management. All pictures are in low resolution so that they load faster.

This is the 65" Mitsubishi Diamond Series HD TV and partial view of the Definitive Technology left channel Super Tower.

This is one of the Hsu subwoofers on a riser that I built.

This is the other Hsu subwoofer on another riser that I built. Because of the risers that I put under my 4 subwoofers, the bass output increased significantly.

The two cylindrical Hsu subwoofers are passive. A Behringer EPX3000 stereo amplifier drives both subwoofers.

This is the third subwoofer in the home theater room. It is a 12" passive sub that I built. More details are in the Upgrading & Building Subwoofers thread. It has a sticky under Subwoofer Section. http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=74527.

This is 4th subwoofer in the HT room. It is a 15" DIY subwoofer. The enclosure was built by ED and I completed the rest. It is a very big 15" passive subwoofer. The dimensions are: 28" Deep x 20" Wide x 25" Tall, Volume: 5.75 Cubic Feet.

The 15" Dayton Titanic MKIII driver was used for the avobe subwoofer.

This crossover and volume control from Pyle Pro controls the subwoofer in the previous picture.

This Carver amp drives the 15" subwoofer mentioned above. It is sitting right next to it. The amplifier is rated 1,000 watts RMS into 8 ohms, single channel. The subwoofer is 4 ohms. I am assuming that the amplifier can power the subwoofer from around 1,500 watts RMS.

Recently, I purchased a Behringer EP4000 pro amplifier to power both of my DIY subwoofers. Its performance has been outstanding.

This is an old 12" Optimus Pro SW-12 ported subwoofer that was sitting idle in my garage picking up dust. I converted it to a sealed subwoofer with a new Pioneer 12" driver.

I really didn't need another subwoofer, but I decided to buy an Acoustic Audio HD-SUB15 subwoofer and upgrade its driver with a Planet Audio Big Bang 15" driver.

The Definitive Technology CLR 2000 center channel speaker.

A pair of Definitive Technology BPX surround speakers are the newest speakers in my home theater. They are bipolar and use two sets of MTM drivers.

Def Tech BPX surround speaker.

This is one of the PSB surround speakers on the right wall. The Denon AVR-4308CI receiver allows for two side surround speakers on each side (4 speakers total) and two for the rear.

This is one of the Bose 901 rear channel speakers.

All the audio/video equipment are placed on two VTI Audio Racks.

This is the Denon AVR-4308CI receiver. I use it as a Pre/Pro. The internal amplifiers are only used to drive the two Def Tech surround speakers.

This is the Cinepro amplifier. It is extremely powerful and has 6 channels. Two channels drive the two Def Tech super towers. Two channels drive the Def Tech and Martin Logan center channels, and two channels drive the two Hsu subwoofers.

This is the Carver two channel (375 w/ch RMS, into 8ohms). It has a lot of dynamic power. It drives the two Bose 901 rears. The Bose 901 speakers can take a lot of power.

This is the vintage 1984 Marantz turntable with Shure V15-III cartridge and the Proton DP1200 amplifier. The amp is rated at 100 watts/ch RMS into 8 ohms, but it is capable of providing up to 1,000 watts of dynamic power. It drives the two PSB surround speakers.

On top is the Sony ES Cassette player and on the bottom the Philips dual deck CD Recorder.

This is the Monster Power Conditioner, with Oppo 980H DVD/SACD/DVD-A player, and PS3.

The second Power Conditioner in the rack is an APC H15.

Here are the DirecTV receiver and the Mitsubishi S-VHS U-82 VCR.

This is the subwoofer in the two-channel room. It is a 12" Acoustic Audio powered subwoofer with a 400 RMS Amplifier.

LIVING ROOM (TWO-CHANNEL ROOM)

I recently built two horn-loaded speakers with Fostex full-range drivers. The construction is demonstrated in the following 6 pictures.

I don't have any preferences for 12" subwoofers, but I find them to be smaller and easier to handle and place in the room. My preference is for 12" and 15" subwoofers.

Currently, I have 10 subwoofers in my home theater room. Four of them are 15" and six of them are 12". In my two-channel room, I have three subwoofers. Two of the subwoofers are 15" and attached to the DIY speakers (you can see the picture in my avatar) and one is a DIY 12" in the corner of the room. I also have another 12" DIY subwoofer in the living room behind the 73" Mitsubishi DLP TV. The Main speaker is a ZVOX sound bar under the TV. I have not updated the pictures of all the changes and additions in my gallery.

Bipolar surround speakers such BP1.2 speakers are better for surround than direct-radiating monopole speakers.

very nice setup!! i have a all def tech setup,i have found proper placement is everything with them,i wanted to upgrade but love the sound. do you think sms 350,promonitor 1000 or bp1.2x for surround back,i also plan on getting a xpa-5 and running three amps, i heard the more power supplys the better. thanks
