Moved to a new house in May, 2011. The front speakers and subwoofer have been carried over, and are located outside of this picture. All wiring is run through the walls. Rear in-ceiling speakers have been added making it a true 5.1 setup. The new TV is an LG Infinia 55LW5600.

One of the requirements of the TV stand was to have adequate ventilation for all my components. I had the builder fabricate a bracket on each side which hold a 120mm DC fan from Coolerguys.com. Those, combined with an automatic temperature controller, does a good job of keeping everything inside the cabinet nice and cool at all times.

Pansonic TH-42PZ77U (calibrated with Avia), wall mounted by me using a Peerless tilting mount,
Power Bridge, Monoprice HDMI cables and wall plates. Sources include a 80GB PS3 and Samsung
DVD recorder fed through an Onkyo TX-SR605. The subwoofer is an HSU Research STF-2 and sits on
a Auralex Gramma isolation riser. The new speakers are TSC T-series center channel and bookshelf
speakers. Control is handled by a Harmony 550 and PS3Toothfairy. The brown leather cases on
top of the TV stand hold my 300+ disk movie collection.

Here you can see the CabCool 1202 fan kit that I installed at the back of my cabinet. It does a
great job evacuating the hot air put out by the PS3 and the Onkyo. Next to the PS3 is the PS3
toothfairy which allows full control of the PS3 with my Harmony remote. The Samsung DVD
recorder is one of the worst piece of electronics I have ever owned. I would not recommend it to
anyone.

This shot from underneath the TV shows the Monoprice HDMI wall plate and cable as well as the Power Bridge.
I like the evolution of your home theater. While not breaking the bank on any of your purchases. You attain a higher level with each and every upgrade . Your theater is very clean and thorough. Running cables through the walls etc and your leds around your TV, simply take it to another level.
Nice setup. Love the Panny and all the gear. Like the custom made cabinet and good idea with the fans. I think I need to do that with mine. The PS3 gets HOTTTT!!!!
I think this is the second TSC setup I've seen among the galleries. What a shame they closed doors! I auditioned them, among Ascend, Polk, Energy C series, etc. The TC2 is the most natural sounding center channel among them. The TST2 have great rich mid range. I almost went with them until I ran into killer deal from vanns.com on Energy RC 70's. Great setup.
Nice set up, I would give it a 6.5 out of 10. How do you like your CabCool 1202 fan? Does it provide adaquate airflow for your components? Are the fans loud (can't be louder than the PS3, well at least mine)?
Haha! You have no idea how much that outlet bugs me man!! One of my goals for 2009, is to redo/modify some of the overhead lighting. When
that happens, I can finally get rid of the stupid lamp that is plugged into that outlet.
Great cable management, and fantastic gear. Move that outlet three feet to the right and you've got yourself a über-clean setup. Still looks really, really good, though. 9/10 for sure.
Nice DIY work. Looks great. The center speaker is nicely centered below the screen and flush with the front of the entertainment center. Nice job centering the L/R fronts too. I like your speaker stands that seem to match the cabinetry. Did you make those stands? If so, excellent work. Nice job running the HDMI cable through wall and adding cool looking wall plates for the HDMI connections.
haha, I have that exact Samsung DVD recorder... what don't u like about it? I don't use it much to give it a review... can't even remember the last time I did
use it actually! lol
I like it! Clean, functional and it seems to look perfect for the space. I think the fan is a great idea; I know from personal experence that Onkyo receivers run hot. If you look again at my system there isn't much room between the top of the receiver and the bottom of the shelf.
very clean looking. kinda has an oriental feel to it.. the bamboo looking stuff in the vases and the dvd cases maybe?
how does the right spkr sound being cramp up next to the couch tho? Nice Auralex iso pad. I have been using auralex for over a decade in Studio environments. Very good material, although it gets overlooked alot.
And the ps3toothfairy is nice to have too i bet.
