Switching rolls: No. There are platter systems that can hold the complete movie even long ones like Schindler's List and Braveheart. The spliced whole movie roll is the size of a truck's wheel (And "fun" to carry between theater's platters if needed ) : http://www.in70mm.com/news/2010/imax_3d/_images/Pic-27-MKII-reel-unit.jpg) The theater screen image is from the Egyptian Theatre in los Angeles, California. I have no image from the one I saw SW in because it closed but it was similar, I even remember it more curved and yes STAR WARS in 70mm 4.1 there was awesome. An experience never forgotten. My Lord! Is that a Norelco DP70 as your old projector? Also what theater is that picture of the UA Dimension 150 screen of? Star Wars and Dune on that thing... OH MY GOD... awesome!
