You might notice that the bottom part of my TV stand has been removed and replaced with a riser made of 4x4s. This is to accommodate my AVR which weighs in at a whopping 75lbs. It was the only way to make it fit.

RXZ11 is Yamaha's flagship AVR which was recently discontinued and I was able to pick it up at a deep discount. Capable of 11 channels with all of the bells and whistles - very nice upgrade!

Monster binding posts. This speaker is all about fit and finish. (sounds great too! )

Emotiva ERD-1s and a sweet leather couch. The couch has cup holder separations, but this makes the thing too big, and I had to do without them for now. My sub is also located behind the couch. It comes off a little too boomy back there, but I intend to fix that once I get motivated enough to do so.

A higher up angle to get an idea of scale for the room.

C3 center channel is the only thing missing from this picture! My goal is to wait until summer sometime to pick it up.

Hello Drew! The new Swan Center looks strong! Congrats on the addition. It really improves the look of the front stage. BTW, the Yamaha Z11 is still one of the most formidable AVR's ever built. Hold on to it as long as you can. They don't build them like that anymore. Great looking setup!

Excellent job on the layout. The AVR should come with Advil or Robaxacet. That thing is huge. Speakers are awesome. Good for you on what you did. Congrats.

Nice setup. I too have the Swans 6.1s with the swan center. Axiom QSP-8s for the surrounds Emotiva Ultra 10s for sub. It looks great. Wonder how you like the receiver now...I am looking for a new one.

Drew! It's so easy. Just check to see if you have studs there, and when you move out, some compound on the holes will do the job. I rent too, you know! Look at what I've done to my house.

JJ, I would love to wall mount that TV. When I purchased it, I was actually given a free one! This would help free up much needed space below my TV as well, however because I rent, and because I do not trust that wall, lol, I have not done it.

It was when they first arrived here in Norway I can't remember quite what model it was, but it was smaller than yours. Had a feeling back then they where very comfy to listen to, but not quite definate in the sound for my music. The room was well set up and with primare pre and yamaha power. its many many years ago now As for starcraft 2, playd till end of august then my screen broke and been in and out of repair cause they're useless, just once more in repair and i'll get all my money back and maybe i can play abit again. Can't be playing on my tv and a wireless keyboard/mouse :P

Thanks for the comments! I don't keep my gallery ratings on because it's not a finished product. I will when I can properly spread out my gear though. (no clue when that may be!) I do now have the matching C3 center which isn't shown, and I'm also contemplating putting up 6 more speakers to 'demo' what a very cramped 11.1 set up would sound like. Hehe... As far as the diagonal wiring, I just like the look. I have thought about bi wiring, however I'd have to buy more speaker wire, lol. I love my gear but I don't tweak it near enough as I should.

This is nice! I'm curious of two things: 1. Why did you turn off gallery ratings? This is easily a 10!! and 2. I understand that you're using the gold binding posts, but why are you using opposite diagonal connections? Have you thought about bi-wiring?

That couch is actually HT seating! lol My problem is my room is too small to have the cup holder separations in between the seats. It does fit in the room with a couple inches to spare on each side, but then you can't use my door, haha. When I move, I'll have the HT set up proper.

Yes! I have thought about painting them, but the idea was to keep costs down and then there is that little thing known as motivation. :P I also will most likely have to cut down those 4x4s to accommodate the C3 when I make that purchase.

ldgibson76, I'm actually going to go above and beyond the matching center channel. I'm going to buy Swan's reference center channel, the 2.3C+. Unfortunately, I just got word that the only speaker they had in stock had a flaw in the finish, so I'm going to have to wait until November before it is shipped. I"m excited though!

They sure look like B&Ws, eh? Swan makes them though, and I have the 6.1 model towers. I can't compare them to anything, but I really enjoy them. My A/V rack can be bought here: http://www.racksandstands.com/Bush-Furniture-AD11540A-03-BU1849.html I got mine from Amazon for about $90 less, but it was a close out item from another seller.

Speaker wire is on it's way! Probably a week or so before they arrive and can be installed, but I'll update the pics when that happens. I'm also seriously considering getting the matching center for my Swans within a month.

Very sexah speakers! BUT! what are you doing hooking them up with that HTIB looking speaker cable....you are losing all your AQ with that speaker cable, go 12awg or 14awg with some banana terminations..monoprice.com is your friend...Please, please destroy that speaker cable you are using....I would even go Bi- Wire with those towers..you will hear a noticable difference!

@ theu715 I will eventually upgrade all of my speakers, but not until I can get out of my apartment. I'm already hearing and feeling the effects of being in a cramped spot. Not to mention being a good neighbor requires reasonable listening levels. Blah! A shiny new center speaker will be my last speaker purchase until I can spread out my system.
