Hello Fanaticalism. It's been a while my friend. Many have commented on how nice and classy your system is. No question about it. There are a lot of classy setups in the galleries, but yours my friend is special. I've yet to see a room that is so in sync when it comes to furnishings and audio/video equipment. You can tell that you have discriminating taste. The painstaking attention to detail is evident and your setup is definitely one of my favorites on the site. I hope the family is doing well. Regards.
the speakers are beautiful, love the color and the feet; what brand are they, i couldn't tell. the subs and the stand for the center complete everything. the surrounds are very nice. i have the same brackets for my surround backs! very nice room too. everyting just flows....
4x12: I performed the bass crawl and positioned the subs in every area available. The subs now reside in the front corners of the room as this resulted in the least amount of nulls. It did however create a load of peaks, but those are manageable whereas valleys are not.
I appreciate the advice though
In regards to my equipment, my system has been stripped clean. I had sold my Denon and Primare amps in anticipation of a deal that I had come to with a third party through a local dealer on some McIntosh gear, and it fell through! All I have now is an older Denon AVR5800 that I purchased many years ago, but I must say that I forgot how good that thing was.
I am still looking to see if I can get a good deal some Mc gear, if not my dealer has a demo Krell S1200 that he may sell for cheap as it has some cosmetic flaws. It would still kill my budget so I wouldn't have much left for amps.
We'll see what happens, but I am in no rush this time around.
Great setup Fanatic!
I was wondering if you tried testing your setup with a different sub placement? One up front and the other
near the back of the room? I think think might give you a better balanced bass throughout the room...
Hello Fanaticalism!
First off, thanks for rating my gallery. You're too kind! Secondly, your system and room is just breath-taking! And thirdly, long time no see man! I hope all is well with you and the family!
I went a different route (and more expensive) than the VA's for my bedroom. There is the possibility of VA's in the living room when I move come August....check out the new arrangement.
Thanks Supa. Right now I have a 3808ci with a couple Primare amplifiers (A33.2-A30.3). I have everything in a closet with a rack that I made a while ago. The rack no longer can accommodate my gear so I was contemplating a Mid-Atlantic system, but I have ran across a great deal on a BDI stand so I may move in that direction and just put all my gear in there.
That is truly beautiful setup you have there It looks awesome and very classy indeed. I'd love to see the associated electronics though, they must be equally grand. Well done
