This is a shot with the screen no longer pulled down.....showing off my gear, which consists of a Samsung 46A650 46" LCD TV, a pair of AV-123 Rocket Signature 850 fronts, the RSC-200 "bigfoot" center (which by the way, the fronts each weigh over 90 lbs and the center weighs 46 lbs ), along with my 2 SVS PC-12 NSD subs, 3 Emotiva UPA-1 monoblocks amplifiers, a Pioneer Elite SC-05 AVR, an Oppo 83 and Panny BD-30 (for the intro disc) blu-ray players and my DirecTv HR24-500 DVR.

I love the rosewood veneer on these speakers, they look even better in real life. By the way, this is the first 3-way design center speaker I have ever had, and I will no longer have anything but a 3-way design center speaker in the future. I can sense improved off axis imaging in conjunction with the fronts, a sound that is richly layered and clear and clean at low volumes.

Naked shot of one of the Rocket Signature 850 fronts (these have the signature crossovers for anyone wondering....) and one of two acoustic panels I made for each front speaker. These speakers can really kick out the low frequencies, especially for home theater use, by getting down to 35Hz. The crossover design allows introduction of additional woofers when the frequencies dip to a certain threshold, until all 4 may be working to provide the necessary bass response.

Close up picture of the equipment and the 2 stands that supports the center speaker. They are made of cast iron and are also filled with sand for added stability.

These seats are actually individual seats, but can be "linked" up to form a couch or love seat as you see here. The same goes with the other furniture with the middle console piece. I love the flexibility this adds for future changes and they also rock and recline. Last but not least, they are extremely comfortable......I love these seats!

View of the amp for my buttkicker. It is on a computer hardrive "dolly" if you will, that allows it to roll out from behind the seat when needed. During some heavy LFE scenes, having the amp right next to me allows me to adjust the gain on the fly without bottoming out the transducer under the seat. When I no longer need it, it just rolls back behind my seat, as you'll see in the next pic......

View of the Cyron lighting I have positioned underneath my seating. 4 lightbars, or one for each seat. They add just the right amount of light to see where you are going without any distraction when watching a movie.

Due to light reflections from the curio, I installed a curtain that is hung from a track that pulls around the curio when watching movies to eliminate any light reflections or distracting glare. It gets tucked behind the curio when not in use.

These are 20" full figures of both Aragorn and Gandalf. The arms, legs and head all move so you can reposition them as you like. It has really amazing detail if you look closely.

Picture of inside the middle console of my HT seating. You'll see my Harmony One, along with my Pioneer SC-05 remote (I find it easier to change some listening modes with this remote, as it has a single button to do so, instead of using the Harmony One which can take 2 or 3 button pushes.)

Here is the reason I do all that I do in my HT...to see my son's eyes light up when his favorite shows appears on the TV.....

....or to see my daughters smile grow when she watches her favorite movies on the big screen!

Thought I would provide an updated pic of my son taken almost a year after the picture above......

...and not to be forgotten is an updated pic of my daughter as well, taken a year after her picture above.....they truly are my motivation to give them the best theater experience I can provide, and they love it!

Your LOTR collection is truly exceptional. The Trilogy's Special Etended Editions are Fantastic and I consider them to be the Greatest piece of film to date. I have a few collectibles and signatures but nothing as high-end as this.....MAJOR thumbs up. Feel free to check mine out.

Very good systems, can't wait until the Swans get in. However, I'm not sure if you're going to notice a big change between the Swans and the Rockets. They are both in the same class. I've owned the small Diva's before - very nice speaker. Oh...dont put them behind the curtains. Excellent system!

Like so many, I like to see the pics for the incredible setup and equipment. Of course, your pics did not disappoint in that regard. What I did not expect but enjoyed immensely were the pics of all the other stuff in your HT room. The LOTR stuff is great. I really liked the lighting under your seating. Looks good and is very useful. Maybe it's the obsessive in me, but I also really liked your binder/catalog for your BD collection. You have a lot of great ideas. Being a dad myself, I also know and appreciate how much the picture of your kids mean.

Thanks simple man....I feel I will give up too much on the black level/light if I got a 1080p projector for around $800, which is what I paid brand new for my 720p projector ( from what I have seen, in this price range, the 1080p projectors seem to be weaker in these areas than my current 720p projector is.) I think in order to maintain the kind of PQ I now get with the black levels/lighting from my current 720p projector, it would cost me upwards of at least $1,500, and I don't feel I will get twice the PQ if I ended up paying twice as much as I did for my current projector, thus resulting in me getting less of a return in my investment on a 1080p projector.
