This is the result of the Hz by Hz freq. resp. of my 2 SVS subwoofers together, from 10 Hz to 40 Hz. Readings taken at the MLP.
The level at 9 Hz was around 12 dB lower than at 10 Hz, dropping down very fast, no doubt the effect of a HPF.
Equalization with Audyssey MultEQ.
The smaller sub is tuned to 16 Hz and the larger one to 10 Hz.
Sensitivity of the smaller sub has been decreased by 5 dB so
it is not overdriven.
The PC13-Ultra's P-EQ was used to make the correction at 35 Hz.
Note the scale used on the y axis.
Measurements were made at the Main Listening Position with a
Shimana SHGLSL021 semi-pro SPL meter,
used without any filter (flat response).

This photo shows the 2 SVS subs, of which the PC13-Ultra is newly acquired (08-2012).
the 2 subs rest on the foam pads on which they came for delivery;
they isolate the wooden floor very well from the sub.
Setup like this, the subs are well below their limits playing the most difficult movies at Reference Level.
Note: the subs are run 3 dB hot for a flat-to-the-ear response.
