There are heavy drapes and blinds that
normally cover the window on the right,
and sound diffusing/absorbing material
behind every curtain; also 2 book/dvd cases
on the back wall serve as a diffuser.
One of the diffusing/absorbing panels (1 inch.) can be
seen behind the right side tower speaker.

Amplifier: QSC PLX3602 (front);

Amplifier: QSC GX5 (back surround);
AVR: Marantz SR5005 (Preamp/Decoder);
Univ. player: Oppo BDP103
TV/Monitor: Elite PRO-950hd Kuro
Room size: approx. 9 ft. x 9 ft. x 16 ft.
I realized a while ago that the total amp power
in my A/V room is approximately equal to the total Watt
power used for winter heating in my house: 8000 Watts.
Also, please don't forget that not playing music at "live" level IS
a kind of distortion of the original.
A difference of 0.5 dB from the right level makes an easily
noticeable difference in quality and realism.
An excellent way to check low to ultra low freq. reproduction is
by listening to Cameron Carpenter's REVOLUTIONARY on SACD
at the "live" level of +3.0 dB. re. Blu-Ray's 0.0 dB Movie Reference Level.
Frequencies go as low as 7 Hz.

This is the result of the Hz by Hz freq. resp. of my 2 SVS subwoofers together, from 10 Hz to 40 Hz. Readings taken at the MLP.
The level at 9 Hz was around 12 dB lower than at 10 Hz, dropping down very fast, no doubt the effect of a HPF.
Equalization with Audyssey MultEQ.
The smaller sub is tuned to 16 Hz and the larger one to 10 Hz.
Sensitivity of the smaller sub has been decreased by 5 dB so
it is not overdriven.
The PC13-Ultra's P-EQ was used to make the correction at 35 Hz.
Note the scale used on the y axis.
Measurements were made at the Main Listening Position with a
Shimana SHGLSL021 semi-pro SPL meter,
used without any filter (flat response).
