I started my HT quest in June of 2009. Since then I have been able to expand my HT from a 5.1 Logitech computer speaker set to what is listed below!
Equipment list:
Panasonic PT-AE4000U 1080p Projector
120'' Black Diamond II 2.35 Cinema Scope Screen
Polk Audio RTi A7 tower speakers
Polk Audio CSi A6 center speaker
Polk Audio RTi A3 rear speakers
SV Sound PC-13 Ultra sub
Pioneer Elite SC-05
APC H15 Power Conditioner
Playstation 3 60 GB (a fatboy)
Xbox 360 (POS)
DirectTV HD DVR
32'' Sony Bravia 720p HD TV
A my cabling needs have come from monoprice.com
Polk Audio FXi A6 (one of them) surround speaker. Not in the most ideal position but will have to do while I still continue to rent. Other equipment there:
You may notice that colors are warmer on the upcoming photographs. The image throw by the PT-AE4000U projector is no where near that warm and saturated. Blame it on my poor photograph skillz!
Thanks for the ratings and posting comments, the RTi line has been a great set of speakers for me and I love the Panny projector and Black Diamond II screen. I recently moved so I will be posting new pictures in about a month! Cheers!!
Beautiful images. What picture mode are you using and would you mind posting your settings? I have a 4000 as well but I can't stop tinkering with it. I've got a pretty good picture but after looking at these pics it looks like I can do better.
Great looking room. Will the significant other let you darken up the color scheme? You'd be amazed at what an improvement darker colors make. Especially on the screen wall and the ceiling above the screen. If I ever get around to finishing my room the entire screen wall will be black fabric.
That Black Diamond screen is just incredible. I wish there were cheaper alternatives to the Black Diamond screens with the same performance. If there were I'll get myself a projector setup.
Great system.. Anyone with Polk is good people.
The screen shots look absolutely stunning, pure perfection... The sharpness of the PT-AE4000 and conrtast ratio of 100,000:1 is incredible. I'm currently useing the PT-AE2000 great picture but nothing like yours. Enjoy!!!
Hey GN.Sorry for the Late Rating(I was positive I had rated your system already)But Either Way.
You Simply Have One of the Most Incredible Systems and Set-Ups,I have seen.
The Black Diamond II 2.35:1 Projection Screen is one of the Most Amazing Screens I Have EVER Seen. And Thats with it not even being used.
Once you dim the Lights and Turn On that Incredible Panasonic AE-4000 1080p Projector; the Screen Images are Some of the Finest I Have Seen Anywhere.
They Look as Good,if not Better then what my Local Theater Offers.
Then Combine Some of the Best Looking Polk Speakers on the Market, with a SVS Ultra Sub and the Audio Portion of your System
(Powered by a Pioneer Elite SC-05 AVR)is as good of a Performer,as your Video Is.I Am Extremely Happy for You GN.
To Have Such An Amazing System and a Room To Place it in.Congratulations,my Friend.
Every time I see your System it gives me The Inspiration and Desire To Get the Most From My System As Possible.
Thank You Geo.Its an Honor to Have You Share Your Passion and Love With Us,in this Gallery.
Looks Great. What is the width of the room you are using for your Home Theater? Looks close to the size of the room I want to use for a dedicated Home Theater.
Just realized I never rated your gallery. Fixed that . Love everything about your setup, would be nice if you could hide your center speaker wire and the black cable (under baseboard maybe?) Still worth 10/10 dude!
