Movie fanatic, thank you kindly for visiting my gallery, and comments. You have a pretty awesome theater room yourself!! Movie day, must be a great experience in your room!! I noticed your popcorn carpet strip (which is great), revisit my gallery when you can to view my area rug again. I have some leftover from my install that I was going to toss out, but if you like, and want it, I would be willing to let you have it. I think it would fit your great theater room nicely. let me know, I will get measurement of how much is left if you do.
Bass shakers are the way to go. You don't need to spend a ton of money trying to get a sub that can play down in the teen Hz. I got the Aura's and it's such a great experience. What pro amp are you using?
Great job Dave! I love all the horror collectibles. I'm a big horror buff myself. You'd love my Freddy Kreuger 1/4 scale pieces from Sideshow Collectibles. Awesome theater!!
i've looked at your ht quite a few times, but i've never commented on it.....don't know why but here goes.
i really like it. it's full without being cluttered. it's not overly done and pretentious. it looks like a guy's space and a space any guy could call home. you have some excellent memorabilia and i really like the ticket box, such a cool addition to an already awesome room. i'm truly jealous of your ht and know you have nothing but great times down there.
This is really awesome. I absolutely love the picture from The Shining.
Movie theater popcorn at home is great! I use Flavacol (which I see you have) and Paragon Coconut Popcorn Popping Oil. I'm not a big butter guy, but I might have to pick up some Supur-Kist Two for when I'm feeling fancy.
I honestly think your whole arrangement is great. You don't have a ton of space, but you really use every inch of it well. It really seems like the theater has a great atmosphere where one could get lost in the films (which is the whole point, IMO). Well done!
I don't think i've seen so much movie accent accessories in one place before. Quite impressive! I'm sure you get this a lot but how do your mains sound being so close to the floor? I can see why you don't have them on stands...your screen is gigantic. have you tried moving them further out and angling them upwards slightly. It might make your soundstage sound more dynamic. Either way I love your speakers. I've had 2 sets of polk monitor HT speakers and they are great. Do you use your room for only movie watching or do you listen to music as well.
Thanks buddy!!..Im really enjoying the new speakers and they look great in the room!!..I really love your HT man!!..We moved into a house that doesnt have a basement anymore, and Im kicking myself everyday now,LOL!!
Looks like you should have stuck with the 92' screen so you could have your front speakers up off the floor, too small of a size increase to justify the decrease in AQ IMO.
Terrific set up with the posters and that delicious snack bar. Much cozier than your average theater I must say. Well done!!
PS The kids are real right??
Nice setup man. Love the posters. When I first saw the pink pole in the first few pictures, I thought it was a strippers pole.....LOL
I want to update my rating to a 10. Changed it after I looked through the pictures again. Awesome setup. +10
