awesome room. Its the perfect size (to me anyways). The only thing i'd change is screen size eventually... but thats a small freaking detail!

great work!

I appreciate all the wonderful comments. It was alot of fun to design and build and I would recommend it to anyone. It definitely helps when you
have a dedicated room with no windows.

Very nice setup! If I only had a room I could dedicate to a separate theater room, it would look a lot like this. Nice H/K receiver, reminds me of mine.

Nickj4348 - WOW... this is increadible! VERY well finished.

Bravo.

Can you tell me your room dimensions? I'm interested in a similar setup in my basement - be curious to see how close the room sizes are.

Thanks
Brendon.

Love the seating! Do you have trouble with anything rattling with a movie playing? I would shake the walls clean if I had things hung on mine...

Excellent workmanship. I love to see what people around this sight can do with a lot of hard work and enginuity.

Any chance you would consider sharing the signage you created in photoshop?

strong work. nicely finished. we share the ptae-3000u. i went from the same screen 106 elite to a 130" 2.35 focupix. if you want to capitalize on the projector lens memory function, this is a great feature.

michael3600-
I like the Harmony 1100 alot...it's very easy to program...it had all my equipment already on the their lists (even the Popcorn Hour device)...I like how you can add your own background to the screen. I had to get the RF extender because my components were on the side and in the cabinet. Everything works nicely though.

We have a lot of the same equipment, also I'm going to start my bonus room tomorrow. How do you like the 1100 Harmony?? I was getting one today, my friends kid broke my Harmony 880 on the Super Bowl.

CollinViegas-
Thanks for the comment...I realize not everyone will think my room is a 10, and that's fine, but I enjoyed creating this room and enjoy it even more now that it's complete. One of the main reasons I posted pictures on this site is not for ratings, but because it was a very useful site for me to get ideas and I wanted to return the favor to someone else who might be working on their media room.

Excellent room, no way it deserves the few 8's you received. I always find it funny to look at the peoples systems that rate a setup like this an 8 or lower... Usually they dont have pictures posted or there rooms are nowhere near what they gave an 8 too...

My only suggestion would be to get some acoustics in there, otherwise excellent...

Thanks for the comments.
-the room was built for the purpose of a media room...it is above the garage and away from the other bedrooms.

The sub sounds good from that location...I wanted to keep it out of view, so it worked out pretty nicely.
