I really need to update the pics. The collection is a bit bigger now, & the shelves on the side wall have been replaced with one that takes up the ENTIRE wall (11 x 8 ft). Coming soon... more pics!

wow, now that is 1 impressive collection of movies bro! nice set up too, truly jealous of the Laser Disc player been looking for 1 too but here in Hawaii
its tough to find those things. but again nice collection, makes mine look really small id say!

I am very fond of my laserdiscs, & just picked up the rare Criterion Bram Stoker's Dracula, as well as Elite's super-rare Nightmare on Elm Street. My player does have a laser that travels over the disc to play the 2nd side, but it makes an unhealthy noise when moving on the track, so I flip the disc manually so I don't end up having a useless player. I couldn't imagine paying $1800 for any media player... holy crap haha. I'm a home video nut, but have abandoned VHS. May get into records & Beta sometime in the future, who knows.

I just changed my setup this week: the shelves on the wall (not the wall with the TV) have been replaced with a single 10 x 7 foot 3-section unit to store almost everything. Got it for $30 at a video store that just kicked the bucket. Photo(s) to come...

Kudos on the Laserdisc -- which is not the least surprising, given your youthful age (I'm in my 50's)....I still have my Pioneer 3080 (not hooked up @ present) which I paid $1,800 (cdn) for back in the early 90's....does your 2080 play both sides of the disc, like mine?....I salute your eclectic taste in movies....btw, is that season 1 of 'Star Trek - TOS' on HDDVD below your screen -- kudos again....yeah, I've been thru almost every 'niche' format starting w/SuperBetaHifi....altho I did miss S-VHS and D-VHS....btw, great, neatly-organized setup, given the prodigious am't of discs in your collection

No space for speakers or receiver yet, the room is small & packed to the tits. Film is a visual medium 1st & foremost, so don't especially care about the sound setup at the moment. Surely its better than 1/2 a star whitenoise!

Don't you dare diss laserdisc Grizzly haha. I only got that thing 2 years ago when I was 22 just so I could get more extras & some stuff that has yet to reach DVD. Very interesting stuff indeed... I'll be adding a couple of pics of the LDs sometime soon.
