Home theater and house restoration galleries updated. I re-arranged my entertainment stand to have the center speaker on the top shelf. More pictures (and better quality ones) coming soon to both galleries.
Sean: "The leather one isn't all that comfortable to lay on and fall asleep to a movie to. Sectional should arrive within a week or 2."
Hello Sean. i feel you man regarding the couch thing. I'm experiencing the same dilemma with my new couch. I really miss the reclining ability of my old chairs. I will most likely be replacing my couch in the near future also!
Anyway, your room and setup is outstanding! Congrats on all of the accomplishments. I also hope things are going well for you Buddy! You deserve it, that's for sure!
The projector is up and on a ceiling mount. Need to update the rest of my pictures. Took me forever just to put up pictures of the screen. The house project gallery is really overdue to be updated. I did get my bathroom re-do pics up. Maybe this weekend i will get to the rest.
I got some extra bookshelf speakers so I will have 7.0 once I hook them up. Ordered a small sectional sofa to replace my leather one. I'm hoping that will work out better. The leather one isn't all that comfortable to lay on and fall asleep to a movie to. Sectional should arrive within a week or 2.
Hello Sean "The Don"! Hey man, I hope all is well. If you system is barometer of how life is going for you, then man, you must be doing outstanding! The setup and room looks fantastic. Now that you have the screen up, when is the projector being mounted? And how do you plan on mounting it, shelf mount or traditional ceiling mounting?
Thanks Landry. Projector and screen arriving this week and next. I'm hoping to add an Arcam avr to replace my Integra receiver also within a week or 2. Might be a center speaker upgrade and dslr addition this month also. So expect new pics soon.
Thanks Olivier. Lots of work has gone into my house the past 6 weeks. I'll paint more and get a coffee/end table soon. No more ht additions anytime soon with the purchase of the Sapphires and the costs of other house projects. I might be able to get a projector setup going this year.
Hello Sean. The system looks fantastic. I know this is just a rough draft and fine tuning is on the "things to do list." Regardless, the ensemble is impressive and the room and configuration is tastefully designed. I wouldn't expect anything less from you. By the way, the Dyn front stage is exquisite!
Congrats my friend!
They are Dynaudio Sapphires. The center is Dynaudio Excite X22. I will be upgrading the center at some point as it isn't the best match for the Sapphires but does a decent job nonetheless.
The panels are just for looks mostly. 1'' thick. I like the black and white panels along with the grey walls. It matches up better than the red. That red front door is old and will be replaced also whenever I get around to it.
Looking good man!!!! I noticed you had red panels in one of the pics. Do you like the white and grey look better?? Also, how thick are those panels?? I'm thinking about getting some.
Those pics I took quickly at lunch. I know that panel is crooked Hamp . Just didn't have time to fix it after I realized it. I'm going to get some things tonight and work on the wire management more. The Integra amp isn't in those pictures either. I'm currently digging thru my many boxes of wires and cables looking for my XLO IC's. These pics are "temporary" till I get the place a bit more organized. I've been busting my a$$ of the past 4 weeks. I'll update the house project pictures soon also.
The shot where you can see the Knight, I really like that one. I'm not gonna tease you like you mess with me, about the crooked white panel behind the computer monitor.
Thanks guys. Added a few more pictures of the projector, etc. I'm hoping to have the revisions done to a semi-complete stage by January. Got some cables & power cords coming this week where I can clean up/wire things better. My projector/computer lounge area is a wire mess right now due to not having long enough cables and cords.
G'day Sean, nice to see a familiar name on the site. I like your gear, especillay the valve amp, very suave indeed. And judging by the rest of your gear I see that you don't do things by half, well done. You'll love your screen when it arrives. You will want to watch all your movies over again because of the WOW factor. This time, size does matter.
Thanks Alpha Sixx. The Octave equipment was replaced by a Naim integrated amp and power supply (to compliment my Naim dac and speaker cables). The tv & dresser is actually in my bedroom where it is meant to be. I have a Epson projector and will be getting a screen soon and working on my surround sound setup. I'll update my gallery eventually when I get around to it.
Thanks LDG. The Octave tube amp equipment is gone and sent back to my dealer as of today. I'm going an all Naim route for my 2 channel equipment. Tomorrow my integrated Naim amp and power supply arrive. That will be paired up with my Naim dac and Naim speaker wires. I don't like it I can always go back to the tube amps. I don't think I will have an issue and might like it more from what I've read. Plus it allows for me to get a projector sooner. I might have one as soon as a week from now. If not I'll hold out till November when Epson's 3d projectors arrive. After the pj I will be adding another couch to the living room. Then I'll gradually piece together my surround sound setup. I need to finish my bar countertop & trim also. Obviously this is a work in progress given the huge place and having to start new.
