Im using a Pioneer receiver and my settings are a bit different. I wanted to get more out of my surround speakers so I use "Avatar" and "Battle: Los Angeles" as refference material for audio and video. After running my calibration program I further altered my speaker level a little more and here is where im at now:
Fronts: +1
Center: +1
Surrounds: +5
Ive always had a rather large gap in volume between the frontal area and my surrounds because most studio's badly neglect the rear speakers. They are getting a little better now with Blu-ray but it was the dvd's of Star Wars: Episode I, and especially Episode II, that opened my eyes. Lucas Film is very good at paying attention to those surrounds of ours.
One of my favorite on here! All the gear everyone would love to have. I can't rate right now but I give it a 10! Two Kuro's, B&W, Oppo, Marantz, Epik, top stuff!!! If you had a mcintosh amp I would faint!
Really enjoying my new subs. I planed on getting acoustic panels set up to make my room less live. But we plan on buying a new house with in the year so I really dont want to set all that up right to take it all down.
LOVE your speakers and your STAR WARS collection is AWESOME!! Gave you a 10/10! BTW, thanks for your comment regarding my Alien(s)/Species/Giger collectibles!
