This is the Quantum Resolution Technologies QV2 AC Line Harmonizer. Nordost is the parent company of QRT and they are addressing new ways of clean power. This unit costs $375.00 and submits carefully calculated 60hz pulse waves back into the AC line to correct 60hz electrical waveforms. This results in a clearly improved 3 dimensional soundstage and a noticeably improved picture. My Outlaw sounds 3 dimensional, my 13 Ultra sounds smoother and cleaner, my Plasma now has blacker blacks...contrast ratio solidly improved with deeper, richer color and a more lifelike picture. This unit should be plugged in the wall next to the power distribution center. A second unit is plugged in any free outlet on your power distribution center for a "quantum" improvement. This thing, my home theatre friends, really does work. It is NOT a gimmick.

At 160 lbs the PB 13 Ultra is a backbreaker to move. You will need two able bodied people to lift this thing on the Auralex pad. Robaxacet or Tylenol 3 should have been sent with my order. The sound is solid even at very low volumes late at night.

The sonic detail of the Outlaw 7500 is simply divine. Watching a movie even late at night is sweet as this awesome component supplies the 5 Klipsch Reference speakers with enough current to bring out the most detailed nuances.

Rear connections on the Outlaw amp

Everything is now hooked up to the Panamax M10-HT Pro linear power conditioner. From the left is the Nordost Blue Heaven power cord for the Onkyo AVR. Next to it is the Nordost Vishnu for the Outlaw power amp, next is the Nordost Brahma for the SVS subwoofer, after that is the Nordost QV2 line harmonizer for the Panamax (a second QV2 is on the spare outlet above where the Panamax is plugged into). The power cord for the plasma has not been replaced yet. Last two are the power cords to the Bluray player and Motorola DVR. Between the Brahma and the QV2 will be two Shunyata Research Venom power cords for the upcoming Outlaw 2200 monoblock amplifiers for the complete separates 7 channel Outlaw power.

Here is the blu-ray player now suspended on Nordost BC Sort Kones. The Sort Cones both isolate the player from external vibration and more importantly drain internal mechanical resonance occuring in the player ultimately providing an expanded soundstage with greater detail in both the audio and video performance. A 1.5 inch mapleblock shelf is included for vibration drainage as well as Mapleshades Hemispherical Heavyhat brass dampening weights on top.

Bluray Player with Nordost BC Sort Kones on 1.5 inch mapleblock with Mapleshades Brass dampening weights. This is very effective for making sound transparent and tight. Great for the picture too.

Nordost Vishnu for power amp and Nordost Brahma for subwoofer now plugged straight into the wall. No dynamic limiting.

Klipsch Reference speakers are well suited for home theater. The RF-82s provide a solid soundstage, especially when driven by the power amplifier.

The 1kw Sledge amplifier is nicely put together and very easy to go through the submenus for set up. This unit has a top quality build and is very elegant.

At 30 inches deep (including grill) the PB 13 Ultra is very deep. Solid penetrating LFE hits you hard with no boomy sound. It gets it's help from a Nordost Brahma super power cord.

My little system as of August 11, 2011
The SVS is a loaded gun with the remote in the hands of a small child....or a basshead.

White cloth protective bag just removed and the big Ultra is ready to go onto the Auralex Great Gramma Pad.

The 13.5 SVS proprietary driver weighs 60 lbs according to the SVS technician I spoke to. This is more than most subwoofers out there. The surround is made of Santoprene...a mix of Polypropalene and Rubber. It is very solid to the touch. Three tuning ports can be plugged. I have the middle port plugged and set on the amplifier's DSP settings for the one port plugged configuration. This is the best setting for ultra deep extension and absolute power.

Overhead view of amp. Although this amp is rated at 5x200wpc rms, the actual bench tested power is 240wpc all channels simultaneously driven at Outlaw's .03 THD rating.

Here is the Outlaw amp with top off. The unit has two oversized toroidal transformers with 150,000mf capacitance and huge amount of heat sink. At just over 80 lbs this poses a mega effort to remove from the stand. Extra Strength Advil would help.

Hey Achilles, thanks for the comments. I was grinning from ear to ear when I got my 13Ultra out of the box and pulled off the cloth cover. It didn't seem real that it was actually there before me. This thing is a TITAN like no other. The effortless power down low is something to be heard...no doubt's you know. In Audioholics testing, it bested Paradigm's Sub 2 from 12.5 hz to 25 hz and was barely behind it above 32 hz. Fit and finish is great and just a treat to know I have one. Glad you own one. The power amp is out of this world as well. Practically unlimited power just like the sub.

Beyond, I've been so tempted to step up to the RC-64 but I've been in a tug of war trying to decide to stay with Klipsch Reference or go with the B&W CM9 package or something similar. One thing I do know is when Klipsch Reference speakers are powered by high current amplification, it's very hard to beat the dynamic response of the horn tweeters & Cerametallic cones produce. Like the Outlaw, the Anthems produce a lot of current/clean power. That results in uncanny clarity in the high and midrange, and robust low end. Many think that Klipsch speakers lack low end performance. With the right amplification, that assumption couldn't be further from the truth. By the way, the new photos of the Outlaw uncovered are outstanding. If there are members considering adding an amp to their system, after seeing your photos, the Outlaw should be one of the considerations on a short list. A very short list!

Again I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all of you hometheatre friends for your endearing comments on my system. It takes a lot of money to put such a system together with the notion that Rome wasn't built in a day. As some of you may see my latest addition was to move the Nordost Vishnu powercord from the subwoofer to the pre/pro Onkyo 906 and add Nordost's beast of a cable...the Brahma to the big 13Ultra. The Brahma made a considerable difference in the total fidelity of the sub and I got it for almost half price brand new from it's original $1800 price tag. You can all see that I am a huge believer in powercords from the Outlaw multichannel amp to the pre/pro to the sub. Nordost also has it's QV2 power correction line harmonizers fully explained in an upper photo. Power correction on the wall and what feeds power to your components is absolutely vital for getting the absolute most out of ones fine components. I have spent almost $3000 on the powercords and line harmonizers. The regular price with taxes on these would have totaled $4000. I know it's insane BUT my finished product was well worth the effort. I guess if you asked me what was the biggest impact item in the whole system it would have to be the huge SVS 13Ultra. The powercord took it to levels unrealized. The next big impact item is the the Outlaw 7500 amp. The Onkyo 906, a fantastic AVR, is a slug in performance compared to the Outlaw amp and Shunyata's Diamondback powercord is the icing on the cake which helps in the transients as evidenced on the bullet exchange scenes in 3:10 to Yuma with Russell Crowe. The newest speaker additions...the main surround RS42s were a big difference over the S2s completing the multichannel amplifiers' reference drive. Of couse the Outlaw's, Onkyo's, powercords' performance cannot be realized without Klipsch's reference speakers. Five reference speakers are powered by the Outlaw and two solid S2s are pushed by the AVR's toroid transformer. The system as a whole is greater than all the sum of its many parts. Now for my friend ldgibson I am indeed planning to upgrade the center to a Klipsch RC64! Go big or don't go. You went big with the liquid-smooth Anthems so you are no stranger to ultra performance hometheatre fun. These Anthems are just another level of performance taken when one goes to Valhalla with their system. Yes my friends, Rome wasn't built in a day but it she did get completed. Someday a 70 inch tv will grace this theatre and perhaps when Bluray goes to the technology graveyard items like Kalaidescape servers will take over in an affordable way and like Kalaidescape will provide 1080p and lossless audio.

Still one of the cleanest, but formidable systems showcased on this website, any progress on a center channel upgrade? I know the RC52 is an effective center, but the RC-62 will really improve the range of the dialogue. An example of that is during any "Transformers" movie, when Optimus Prime is talking. Now, about the Outlaw 7500! That amp is just insane! I know I've expressed my enthusiasm about it previously, but I just have to again emphasize to the uninformed, if they want an amplifier that gives you high-end detail in craftsmanship and materials, off the chart performance and not have to pay internal organ-like prices, look no further than the Outlaw 7500! Emotiva products are excellent values of course, but the build quality of the Outlaw far surpasses the Emotiva. And it's American made!

Hello Beyond. Have you given any thought to the PM I sent regarding the front speaker/sub crossover points and speaker and sub positioning? I actually started experimenting with various crossover points. I now set my front stage to "Large" and crossover at 60 Hz. I also set the sub at 60 Hz. What I have discovered is that the low end is now so much smoother and balanced. Before, it was easy to detect where the low end was coming from (Left side of the room where the sub is located). Now that the fronts and center are sharing some of the low frequency responsibility, the low end is more balanced/even, tighter and more disciplined. But for 2 stereo listening, I'm still full range fronts only.

Again I would sincerely like to thank all of you who are offering your nice comments. I regularly go to all of your sites and look for dialogue and your galleries for inspiration and ideas. The PB13 Ultra is in my room because of YOU and your endorsement of this awesome product. My amplifier is because many of you went multichannel amp or amps! The reason for my buying the 13 Ultra was that I was first considering the 12 plus but I thought to myself why not get the most powerful and baddest of them all and not think in the future "if only". This WILL be the last sub I will ever own or would want to own which is why I went this large and this powerful. I don't want to upgrade again in this dept. Now for upgrades I will take ldgibson's advice and go for the Klipsch RC64 for a center AND I hear that OPPO 93s are pretty good. Those will be next. For surrounds I would like to move the S2s as the backs and for mains get say...RS52s. Thanks again my friends

Looking good Beyond. Looks like to me you need to pull the RF 82 out a little so they are farther out then the Entertainment stand. This should make the soundstage sound even better. The bass and midrange right now are bouncing off the tv stand and could be mudding the sound a little.
