These things ROCK! 2-ch is awesome, the details and depth of music you get. Bass you only get from towers, and the way they mate up with my Tube gear, the sound is euphoric.

British Hi-Fi at its best! This is where my system becomes a hybrid setup. All my 2-ch music goes thru this unit and never interferes with the HT setup, until I watch a movie and then the HT Bypass kicks in and I use this a strictly a power amp for my L/R speakers when watching movies, but the processor and volume control all comes from the Integra, so its now purely a power amp.
Of all the Blu-ray players I have owned, the build quality and performance of the Oppo is second to none. Although I dont use it for 2-ch due to my Jolida tube dac, but the 2-ch performance is outstanding.

This is my 2nd DAC Ive owned and I dont think Ill get rid of it. Tubes offer a huge soundstage and a very inviting sound.

I love the way the Tubes really increase the depth of the vinyl sound and open the soundstage up.

For such a small center channel this thing packs it in. Ive had bigger center channels that cant compete with the complete package this center provides.

Very nice system man! Dynaudio makes very nice speakers. I happened to look and consider the excite 16 speakers before choosing my Canton vento 820.2's.
rich, funny that you mention that. the other night, I was moving it around and playing with placement. where I have it it sounds best. wife won't let the sub be on the other side of the room.... I want a second sub, but wife won't let that happen. Its now on a riser and sounds much better then before.
Try and experiment Callas, take the sub out of the corner, and re-eq. That looks like a mirrored wall that it's facing. Bring it closer to the mains and if possible away from the back wall - from what I'm seeing you may have a standing wave in that room. What's on the other side of the Left main?
Spaceape, they are awesome sounding speakers, love every minute with them, and it'll be getting better soon.... give me a couple weeks.
Birdman, the eD is doing great. I find if you don't over drive the eD's they tend to hold up very well. I think most people's issues are due to over driving the subs. I know thats not always the case, but I think more times then not.
@ Bluvette - Thanks, I love the setup, I have been very careful in selecting pieces that make it sound very good and dynamic. I love that whether HT or 2-ch, its very dynamic and satisfying. The TT underwent some changes to the internal wiring to the tonearm and motor upgrades from Sumkio and so it is actually supposed to perform to the level of the Pro-ject Expression III.
@ Steve - Thanks, its is pretty simple and basic setup, but the overall performance is anything but. The Dyns are run set to Large, and they produce bass. I need to update the pics to include the center in the opening picture.
Ill look into that guys, but Im not sure the TT and Center channel can co-exist on the same shelf and get the center channel in the center of the shelf.... Since the X22 has the integrated plinth to angle it up, it comes right at the height of my ears.
I agree with BigAl & Zippo.... I know, because I need to do the samething. I have to put my shelf in to bring the center higher, and I now want to lower my left and right speakers. That way they should line up much closer.
@ Istoc - I love them, they are very good speakers with so much to offer. Now that I own Dyn speakers, I don't ever think I'll own anything else. Theyre that good.
Just wanted to give you some words of encouragement Steve I know you are working your ass off to support your family and to also get some great gear I mean it's amazing what we can achieve with some determination. nicely done bud
Thanks K-Fed2, I love having a TT, Im gonna probably get White Stripes and Metallica next on Vinyl. Ive had the TT for about 6 months, so Im just getting started. But yes, it is my preferred listening material.
