92inch DIY screen; used Daylite High Contrast Cinema Vision for screeen material and self adhesive black velvet to use as border material. The screen hangs from chains and is easily removed to access back area. Buzz is standing on the other speaker, you just cant see him
This is what the room looks like when the screen is down. I made the center speaker stand from MDF You can see the computer area in the background with Polk Monitor 40's for speakers
this is my fist set up i put together in 2004 which is located in my basement. Consists of a Hitachi CRT RPTV and a Sony HTIB. I didnt know a whole lot about ht at the time, and to me, this set up was totally awesome. (then I started looking at ht's on the internet, DAMN YOU GUYS!!!!) The right front speaker is off to the FAR right, so you cant see it in the pic. The TV stand is homemade by me and made of MDF

Another view of my first ht set up. Those tiny little sony speaker and sub use to be the shizzelnits
this is my "main" tv, used for watching cable tv and playing wii. Consists of a Sony lcd rptv and bose 2.1 speakers. But the real action happens in the basement
Everything is this gallery is awesome. I absolutely love your transformers collection. Your gear is really nice, I love all the polk speakers. And I wish I had that NES, Im so jealous. 10/10.
deon475, they are "ok". i was able to get these two 10 inch subs for under 220 dollars combined, so i really cant complain too much, they do the job. I have a pretty small room, so they are adequate, if you have a medium or large room, you should consider a beefier sub from a different manufacturer
ejusted, the computer could be intergrated into the ht setup, ive definately thought of it, and I know many people are into the hole htpc thing, but i dont know, im not sure if ill ever hook them up, i just dont see a need for it right now, maybe down the road. i forgot to close the drawer all the way for the pic, its just an inherently bad designed desk, lol
thanks everyone for the kind comments, after seeing alot of your systems, i feel a little inadaquate, lol
I leov the theater!!! The polk gear looks real sexy! I also like the PC setup! (get that drawer fixed!) :-p Great idea with the screen coming down from the ceiling! That makes great use of the space. O.K the transformers thing....I must admit...a little scary!! lol...But its a helluva collection. Ever think about intergrating the pc into the HT setup. It looks like your capable of doing it!! Anyways.....awsome setup!
awesome ht dude. Totally digging your clean setup. Impressive collection of original transformers too. Certainly takes me back. Great job...top notch. SMB on the big screen...priceless.
Simply Beautiful...Love the Projector and Screen,Makes It Look As If You Could Charge Admission To That Sexy Set Up.
The Polk Speakers and Stands Are Crazy Fresh.Beautiful Craftsmanship and the Polk PSW10 Subs look as if they will unload some serious boom.
Everything Easily looks as Professional As They Come. And (I have to Admit)Your Girlfriend is Beautiful
Man I wish I kept my original Transformers toys. They were probably all damaged but now I got my son watching all the episodes from the original series he wants the old school characters!! I'm guessing we're about the same age by lookin at the games and toys you got.
I love the Transformers craziness and the Dark Knight poster. I've got Polk Audio speakers as well. Where did you get your stands? I'm hunting around trying to find the best deal I can.
I can't tell you how many hours I spent playing SMB. That shot brings back some memories. I have that same samsung digital tuner in my theater. I used it for the super bowl and havn't touched it since. We normally watch TV in the living room and keep the theater for movies, just like you said in your post. Great setup
Setups like this make me want to go with projection instead of flat-screen. Seriously, nice work. Way to keep it old-skool with the 8 bit NES, too. I'm assuming you have that hooked up via composite cable to your STR-DG820...
I'm gonna have to have a word with Megan. Looks like she might be cheating on me.
