Beautiful Screening room. I just love dedicated home theaters and yours is one of the best seen. From the seating to equipment installation & lighting a very clean job....... I WANT ONE ! BTW your media collection is bananas( means really,really,really awesome).

The Front speakers above screen are for the Yamaha Cinema DSP modes and Dialog lift. See the following link for more information.

The RXV-1800 is 7.1 Receiver, with 9.1 output channels the front two are for ambiance/presence only.
Thanks Shinrai for the heads up on Dolby Pro Logic IIz, I have not heard of that one, I will look into it.

Love the seats...

How are the front height channels processed? Are they duplicating the front L/R channels from a common terminal on the AVR (the RXV-1800 is a 7.1 Receiver)? Have you thought about getting an AVR with Dolby Pro Logic IIz, to optimise the experience? I mean, you already have the speakers in place. :-)

Otherwise, a very nice clean setup... Well done for the attention to detail!
