No, it doesn't go infront of my speakers (just the subwoofers - and they are omni-directional). My mains are the Cornwalls out to the sides and the center channel is the single Heresy on the floor. The 4 subs are LFE, and they literally shakes the entire house. The two on the floor are downward firing. Everyone that has heard it says it sounds amazing. A friend of mine from the west coast is currently visiting me and he says my system sounds better than ever! He kept mentioning the clarity and the deep bass that you could feel, but it was smooth...until something just swung into high slp - then it hit you in the chest! I told him...that's dynamics ! He marveled at being able to listen to even the quietest passages with detail...that's dynamics too ! If you're ever in the PH of Fl you are welcome for a test drive.
