PS/PT tower. When docked, the PT800 satellite is connected to the PS1400 bass module via blade links. The bass module is powered but in the docked configuration the speaker wires go to the bass module then the internal crossover sends signals above 130-Hz to the satellite. This configuration effectively makes a time aligned four way tower. JBL Synthesis Performance PT800Uploaded Sep 22, 2010 13:42:01
All titanium drivers. The tweeter has what JBL calls EOS wave guide which disperses the sound evenly for an expanded sound stage. The squakers (don't hear that term much anymore) and woofers have pistonic drivers that eliminate distortion. The PT800 & PC600 are not designed to reproduce sound below 80-Hz. The manual warns against it, yet they are rated at 250-Watts. Uploaded Sep 22, 2010 13:42:05
