Srrndhound's home theater (12 photos)Major update: Hsu ULS-15 Quad Pack installedUploaded Sep 24, 2010 00:00:07
The lone Aerial SW12 sub has been replaced by four 15" subs, two in front, and two in the rear. Still driving them with the BassQ, but more on that later. Net result: deeper extension, more headroom, more tactile seat vibration.
Shown with screen fully retracted. Window blocks have handles for easy removal. Lb sub facing into the cornerUploaded Sep 24, 2010 00:00:08

These subs, and the resilient cushion under the riser, really give a nice, visceral feel to the bass--no shakers needed! Pefectly integrated, very deep frequencies especially. Hsu Quad Pack with BassQUploaded Sep 24, 2010 00:24:28
Part of the reason for the new subs was to explore what goes on below the previous system which was cutting off fast below 15 Hz. The BassQ system itself has a response rolloff at 20 Hz, and with this dual-path arrangement, I get the benefits of the BassQ between 20-80 Hz, and extension down to 10 Hz. The SSP's dual sub outputs let me offset the time delay to compensate for the BassQ latency. Enter the Deadwood TheaterUploaded Dec 23, 2009 03:54:56
