This really brings back my childhood memories! I had several of those transformers ( Grimlock, Swoop, Slag, Optimus Prime, Megatron, Jetfire, Skywarp, Starscream, Soundwave, Ravage, Rumble, and several others) when I was a kid, but I didn't keep up with them that good. I was a little "destructive". (lol) Nice collection!

Absolutely, Encore is a great place to start. The packaging is also G1 style which make them great for display too. Although I already have the figures I am still picking them up for the packaging alone. Call me crazy.

Dave_6
 » Jul 27, 2009 08:55 AM

All I can say is.... HOLY SH!T!!! I'm a huge Transformer fan myself and just recently got back into collecting a little. It makes me sick to know I had nearly the same G1 collection when I was a kid, but didn't keep them What an amazing one you have though!

Along with the new movie(s) figures, I'm trying to get back into some of the G1 stuff. Is the Takara Encore series a good place to start?

Dude I would love to share, but unfortunetly took me too long to aquire. You can get the Reissued Takara (MISB) like the one in the 3rd last picture. He even comes with a face now. LOL. Just need to find an online toy store that still sells it. There are a bunch. Like here:

I have been collecting about 10 years. Don't know if I will ever sell. Probably pass it on to my kids or something. Maybe sell as a retirement thing. Who knows. I don't collect to sell, I would never get the money I put into it back. Plus, some of that stuff is from my childhood.

WOW,, this is making me feel shakey inside, Brings back old feelings, I collected McFarlane Horror figures for over 6 years, also Neca, Mezco and others , Had a wall like your's over 2,000 figures, and two Closet's full.. Finally sold the whole collection to one guy in Las Vegas.. But hey looks like a awesome Star Was & transformer collection man , I remeber the 1st Star War figures when they came out, I bought them at a Western Auto Store in our small town, Had them all,, MAN do you know what they would be worth today ,,$$$$$$$$$,, I could retire on them,, Oh well great job man , Now lets see the Home Theater ,,,,
