Dexter The Greatest Television Show
I seriously think that this is one of the greatest shows on television. It was original, fun, exciting, and interesting. The video quality is perfect, as is the audio. The extras were the same except small clips that are different than the DVD. Overall, worth the upgrade, if you already have the DVD, but a must buy for Blu-Ray. |

DEXTER
I absolutely love this show. This is one of my favorite shows of all time. It looks amazing in full 1080p
and sounds great with it's 5.1 surround. I have the 1st and 2nd season on DVD and they can't even
touch this. The blu-ray of Dexter is just amazing. Looking forward to the 2nd season to come out
can't wait and figuring that the 3rd season, since it just finished, will probably be out in August since
the other two DVD were released around the following August they were aired. The special features
are a little disappointing though, the only special features really are the commentaries, everything
else is on BD LIVE which isn't a problem just that it says coming soon whenever you try to see anything on here. Overall just amazing if you're a fan of the show then its a must buy if not then pick
it up guarantee you wont be disappointed. |

Great set lacking a in extras!
It's Dexter! In 1080p! Great way to watch this series. I did notice the audio levels are not exactly even and the vocals get drowned out a bit sometimes by the background noise. This is my first time watching it so I don't know if it's on purpose but there are some scenes in Spanish that are not subtitled in English.
Overall I love it. |

Much better then the ITunes HD version I have.
Well, kind of weird how I got the Blu Ray Disc version of Dexter Season 1, but here we go.
When I first learned how wonderful this show was, I saw a MKV 720p version at a friends house. So I went home, and purchased the whole Season 1 of Dexter, but found the quality to suck big time. I was not satisfied.
Then I rented the DVD's so my girlfriend could watch them on our TV instead of my computer in iTunes (I was NOT buying an AppleTV)
THEN! I find Dexter Season 1 on Blu Ray at Frys! So I grabbed it! And the journey to supreme quality Dexter S1 was complete.
The picture quality is outstanding! The audio is good for a TV show, but I have a gripe with the all the obvious ADR, but other then that, this set is SOLID!
Every Dexter fan should get this set ASAP! |

Can It Get Any Better???
If you haven't seen Dexter, you are seriously missing out on one of the best TV series in years. The show has top-notch writing, and is the only one I can think of that will actually have you cheering for a serial killer. Every episode will take you through a vast emotional range with great mixtures of comedy, suspense, and drama. I didn't even start watching until right before the third season started, but my friend had the first season on dvd so I thought I'd give it a shot. I was hooked after the pilot.
What truly impressed me came after I bought it for myself on Blu-Ray. I have a 1080p setup, and it looks phenomenal. The colors really pop, from the festive Miami-style clothing to the colorful beach scenery. There are plenty of night-time moments, and they come in just as clear as the sunny day-time scenes. This is not only worth the money, but even worth upgrading from dvd as I have seen for myself.
The sound is great, especially for a tv show. The surround sound features will pick up virtually everything, from revving boats on the beachfront to officers in the background at the police headquarters. Unfortunately, Dexter's main selling point lies within its ability to hold your attention with things as simple as one-on-one conversations between characters, so there isn't quite enough use of the surround feature and therefore I couldn't give the audio a perfect score.
There aren't really any notable special features, which is really the only complaint I have about this set. I suggest that anyone who hasn't seen this show watch just one episode. I promise you'll love it. I highly recommend it, as a great series, and as a way to show off your home entertainment set-up with its high quality audio/video specs. I hope this was helpful!! |

My favorite show by far!!!
I never watch t.v shows, I just don't get into them. But a friend of mine was up my a** to sit down and watch Dexter and till this day im still thanking him. This show is easily my favorite show. I recommend everyone to just give this show a try, its truely a masterpiece. |
