Haha...
My wife had to work on Thanksgiving (which also happened to be her bday) and she was bummin pretty hard. We didn't make any plans to go anywhere and we were planning on geting chinese and watching movies. Well, I planned out an entire surprise Thanksgiving/Bday feast with our close friend (who also had no plans). I bought this as a laugh to be playing on the new plasma. We live in an apartment with no fireplace. In the end dinner was great, she was very happy, and everyone got a kick out of the faux-fireplace.
PQ- not amazing
AQ- the music and fireplace sounds (crackling & flames) weren't awesome
Again, it's great to have in the background but not a center of attention piece. |

the best so far
this was originally on HD DVD back in the day....
At least they film a true fire from start to finish in one place with no zooms or pans - thank you!
I wish someone would offer a fireplace dvd with different views for different tv sizes... these fireplaces
just look like a house fire on a 50 inch screen! you really have to use these dvd on a 23 to 32 inch lcd
screen ... otherwise it looks like your house is on fire!
On larger screens they need to change the aspect of the fire to accommodate the large screen...
maybe one day someone will make it right...
But this is my favorite one so far , and I own a few of these type discs... |
