This movie looks great on Blu Ray!
SFX movies generally look great on blu ray and this is no exception. For the director's cut, you see more of the rhona mitra scenes (well, more than what was shown in my theatres). No comments on audio as I watched it on 2.0 channels. The water scenes played out well thanks to 1080... Overall a film worthy of blu ray treatment |

Great movie especially if it's in a bargain!
I just got this blu in a bargain from a store in the mall that was closing for 9.99 , the PQ was good for been an old movie and the sound quality it was awesome too pcm works perfect on this. Great Dialogs. This movie reminds me of The Fly and that kind of style. |

Not a great film, but an incredible disc!
I'm surprised this transfer didn't get higher marks from previous reviewers as this to me is one of if not the best transfer I own. Video quality is pristine and might be the best I have seen! Audio was also very strong on this one and the decision to release the Director's Cut was awesome! I personally always liked this film, but admit it's not for everyone and I can see how some would think the movie sucks. The sequel is abysmal, but the cast and particularly Kevin Bacon make this one work for me. I highly recommend this one! |

Great on blu-ray!!!!
I've seen this movie a number of times, one of my favorites, because I enjoy watching it every time i see it. When I do it's because I've somewhat updated my HTS. The director's cut is better than the SD. The PQ in 1080p has good clarity, especially whenever there is a water scene!!! I've update my audio settings since the last time i watch this pic, and the AQ is on target when the lab explodes. Great Audio makes you appreciate a well directed movie!!! Definitely worth a buy, if you got a high end HTS in your house. |

Hollow Man Directors Cut
I always enjoyed this movie but the BD seems to have an inconsistant picture. Most of the movie is
fairly sharp but grain is very evident throughout. It's worth buying if your a fan and it's a good
improvement over the SD version. |

Good all around
Hollow Man is a good thriller with a cool premise, good direction from Verhoeven and a fine performance from Kevin Bacon as a man obsessed with the power he has recieved. I really like Verhoeven's style, he adds comedy and satire to everyone of his movies and while Hollow Man seems to have the least, it still has it and has a pretty decent bit about Superman and Wonder Woman. The biggest problem is this is a horror movie but i wasn't scared by it and I found it very predictable. The effects have also aged a bit but still are okay but it's Bacon's acting that you are sold by, it's not oscar but i liked the way he pulled off the change. The PQ is stunning for a nearly ten year old movie and the transfer is definetly sharp. There is a slight layer of grain present but it fits for this movie and never brings down the quality. The AQ is very unoriginal in terms of the movie itself but the track is great; very clear. Extras are okay, some what interesting but aren't in HD and there isn't tons. Overall, this movie is a lot better than perople give it credit for and I was happy with my blind buy. The disc's quality is excellent with some awesome PQ and fine AQ; definetly worth a buy if your a fan of thrillers or Verhoeven's previous work. |

Great movie
I miss Paul Verhoven
I forgotten how much nudity there is in this movie! 
Overall PQ and AQ is adequate not current movie sharp but adequate. There are VERY few instances where very minor flaw (color saturation) are noticable.
I think a more appropriate rating for PQ and AQ is 3.8
