Great Movie with steller PQ and Sound.
I was highly anticipating the release of the Die Hard series on Blu-ray. Up until last night I had yet to see Live Free or Die Hard. What a great movie and the PQ/AQ was among the best I've seen for a live action movie. Worth every penny I paid. Definitely a reference quality movie. |

Great action movie!
If this wasn't a Die Hard movie I would have given it 4.5 but since it is part of the Die Hard franchise I expected a little bit more. I recommend you to buy the full Die Hard Collection on Blu-ray (like I did), you wont be dissapointed. This last one has (as you would expect) the best PQ and AQ. The third also got really good PQ and AQ but the first two is not as good, but still much better than the DVDs.
A must-own by my standards.. That some kids rate it low because is censored is just rediculous. It got action enough for anyone. Got get it  |

Welcome back McClane
I never thought this movie would work with a PG-13 rating, but I must admit I was surprised how well this one turned out. Arguably the most entertaining out of the entire series.
PQ for the movie was outstanding. It was not perfect as I did notice some a few areas of graininess in the darker scenes, but it did not take away from the overall quality of the video.
Audio, was top notch, one of the best I've ever heard.
I never rate the extras as I could care less.
Definitely a must own in any BD collection. |

Best looking/sounding action film
Movie: The movie is surprisingly good, smart and full of action (not too much) a must see
Video: incredible, demo material, excellent lighting/contrast, alot put in the di. Stunning picture.
Audio: again incredible, ground breaking everything is perfect!
Extras: in depth and very well presented. but not much, your better off with the dvds extra which is a shame, would notch up my rating to a 4.5
Overall: A must have, very impressed and can watch over and over again |

A solid action movie on par with the first Die Hard, imo. One of the best Blu-ray PQ I've seen so far, same goes with the Audio. The extras were decent.. Overall a great collection to the Blu, especially for Die Hard and Action fans! |

Bringing the Franchise Into the New Millenium
This movie breathes new live into to the franchise. The last movie was 12 yrs ago and this installment really brings the franchise into the new millenium. I loved this movie and am glad that Bruce Willis agreed to be in it. The movie would not be the same without him. This is one of the best action movies of the 2000s and is fast paced from the very beginning. I didnt look at the extras thats why I put n/a. |

This one really live up expectation like rocky did last year. They did everything right this time, the plot is very good visual is top notch, the pq could be better, but they did wonderful job in CG, and audio is 5 stars. Extra is average. Overall still is a must own! |

Best Blu-Ray disc yet!
Die Hard isn't my favourite action franchise but Live Free or Die Hard is an absolutly amazing action movie. Willis is great and Justin Long is a hilarious addition to the cast. The plot is great, being in real life problems. The action is intense and is full of thrills and the direction is fantastic. I found the realism to lose itself near the end and it only the PG -13 cut on the disc. The PQ is flawless, no grain and the detail is stunning. The AQ is unbelievable, my subwoofer got a work out. Extras are also plentful but I haven't had a chance to watch all of them yet. Overall, this is my favourite Blu-Ray, the movie is action packed, the PQ is jaw-dropping, the AQ and extras are great. A must own! |

Let's Die Hard !!!
While three is the weakest link the fourth film "Live Free and Die Hard" is by far the best of the franchise. Die Harder (#2) is my all time favorite but it doesn't really hold a candle to what was acheived in the fourth installement. The action and special effects just simply rock. By far Die Hard is one of the best Franchises in Hollywood - even compared to Lethal Weapon, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, Star Wars, and others. You can't go wrong with with Len Wiseman behind the lens as he was for Underworld and Underworld: Evolution. The best part is nailing this picture at Fry's Electronics for $9.98 tonight (5/23/09) - a $24.99 price tag sitting on the package. Score!
Not sure if the packaging has changed, but my box art work is what is showing for Canada and not the US.
PQ is one of the best. It's a newer film and it better be. Colors - great, no pixelation, no debris, no grain - the video quality is top notch. The audio too rocks my basic system to the ground. The 50" plasma was showing something wonderful tonight. I think the wife had ear plugs in while we were watching this.
Bruce Willis should continue to market and complete "John McClain" features as long as the writers continue to come up with superior scripts. These films are fun and entertaining. McClain is the character the Willis has been waiting his whole life for. He left the character behind for many years and hopefully will be smart enough now to return before he turns into Stallone and Swartzenegger being to old to carry a film. |

"Just another day in paradise."
The latest "Die Hard" film is simply a blast; the story is decent, and features some excellent action/special effects scenes. Characters are still great, and are actually expanded somewhat. Photography is very slick. Production design includes some great props, sets, and costumes. Music is good.
The disc has perfect video and sound quality. It includes all of the same extras as the 2-disc DVD, minus the digital copy and the unrated cut of the movie (which is a shame, because the unrated cut does have more cursing and violence, which corresponds stronger with the other films in the series). |

if people don't
get this just because it is only the pg-13, they have lost their mind. the pq of this new film is sensational. i have seen both the unrated and pg-13 versions, and i assure you they are not more than a couple minutes different in length. literally the only addition in the unrated version is the f-bomb, with no added violence or blood. pg-13 in 2007 is equal to the R rating that Die Hard got way back when. don't be stupid and pass on this opportunity, i want to watch it again just to look at it. |

Nothing lasts forever..........................
Bruce Willis proved in the summer of '88 he was a man's man action hero.
He would prove in the summer of 2007, that he still has what it takes as he resurrected John McClaine in the 21st century. This time he is trying to save his daughter Lucy who is now 20 years old. Using this source material from the novel of which Die Hard was based. Live Free or Die Hard although not rated R offered a more toned down McClaine but his persona was still intact as he wise cracks his way to take out the bad guys. The blu edition is good. PQ is solid wit a few specks here and there, AQ rocks the house and all the extra's are worth while. The only negative is that the un-rated version which basicly adds back in the fuck word is no were to be found. Well at least I have the DVD version. To me the PG-13 rated version should be refered to as Die Hard 4.0, but the real meat is the F-bomb favorable unrated version that is the true Live Free or Die Hard movie. |

Live Free or Die Hard Review
This turned out to be a great addition to the Die Hard series of movies. Great action is what makes these movies and this installment does not disappoint. My only gripe is that the blu-ray does not have the unrated version, but overall I am pleased with this release. |

3rd best in the installment
This moive cant touch the 1st or 3rd movie, for starters why was a Die Hard movie rated PG-13, that action was pretty cool, a little over teh top, however i felt the movie was edited so much with teh language, got annoying at times.. overall amazing transfer though, if you like this movie then go buy it you wont be let down |
