Finally after 33 Years A Great copy Of LOGAN'S RUN
For those of you with Nostalgia who played Sandman / Runner tag back in Elementary/Primary school you'll love the Crisp outside scenes! -Mind you, this wasn't the Lowry digital team transfering & fixing every single damaged frame or flaw, yet it does come across quite nicely. I loved the commentary with the star Yorkie and the Director / Actor Anderson & Designer Bill Thomas. Hey Logan's Run is Fun! - LoganRay6 |

Not sure what to think of this one...
I haven't seen this movie since I was a little kid. I remembered much of the atmosphere and sets, but there were some odd plot situations that I really can't understand. Why was there a derelict section in the dome? Wasn't this supposed to be a Utopian society? Who looks after the maintenance of this domed city if everyone is off enjoying themselves? Why was there an ice cavern just outside of the city even though it was clearly warm outside?
As far as the picture quality is concerned, there were far too many out-of-focus and foggy shots. I'm glad that the film grain was left alone, but this film should have had some restoration done.
The sound quality was the big surprise. Some of the electronic effects filled my room with sound and I was surprised that there was sound directionality when the actors were speaking from the sides of the frame.
Overall, I had a fun time watching Logan's Run again. |
