Actually I loved this movie

All The complaining I heard from people everywhere that oh this movie was bad waste of time blah blah blah ... It was actually very good... there was some times where your like... Is this really needed ...but in the end it all pays off VIDEO quality despite the big review where it was stated "grain" I found none and thought this movie was TOP NOTCH and well worth it to show off to friends also I called customer service and asked about the 1080i they said "typeO"... so dont mind this guys rant about 1080i... Video is TOP NOTCH!, Audio is great... all around a great series glad its on blu!

A bit drab, but still fun

I think I laughed more at the outtakes than I did at/with the film itself. But, it was still a good flick; worth watching. Just like the cast and crew seems to feel coming around for a third bid, I felt jaded and bored through most of the scenes. There was quite a bit of eye candy, but the dialog was tired and familiar (just add some pirate lingo here and there). Picture quality was nice, solid, with lots of depth of field that comes through well in HD. Sound was dynamic and smooth, with plenty of movement all around, without it distracting much from the viewing experience. (That's a compliment. The sound was enveloping and rich, without taking away from the film.)

Those of you who

are giving the PQ any less than a 4.5 need to get your TV calibrated immediately. This is the definition of Blu-Ray.

Pirates of the Caribbean At Worlds End

The movie has a typo both on the back cover and the website stating 1080i.. If you own a
Sony Playstation 3 it states 1080P.. That is a big typo since the first 2 Pirates movies clearly stated 1080P.

Another Disney Reference Disc!

I have to expect nothing but the best from Disney for PQ and AQ, once again they do not disappoint! Movie was not the best of the three, but was entertaining nonetheless and recommend it for an Pirate Fan!

Outstanding Movie Overall

I am not really a big fan of these crazy fantasy movies; and I certainly can't make any real "sense" of some of the plot twists, but I have to admit that this movie is very exciting and entertaining. Just turn off your brain and enjoy !
The picture quality is the best I've seen. It was obviously shot with Blu-ray in mind, because every frame is crystal clear, even when paused ! The sound, special effects, and extras are also top notch. I am sure this will be a popular classic and a great disc to demonstrate the capabilities of Blu-ray to your friends. Buy it !

Even better at home.

I saw this movie in the theaters and I must say that it looks alot better in HD then theater quality. The detail you can see is amazing, and the CGI is flawless. You can literally see every little thing. Compared to the other movies I have bought on Bluray, At World's End has the most extras, and has a entire disk dedicated to the job.
Frankly, I could watch this movie over and over. This is possible simply because the plot has so much and is so confusing, you could see it a dozen times (figurativley speaking) and still not figure out everything. Of course, I am a fan of POTC so I am biased towards the film. Despite it saying it is in 1080i, I could care less whether it is true or false because it looks fantastic. This is definatley a must have.

A Must Have For the Collection

At World's End looks good and sounds good; its truly one of the best blu-ray movies i've seen so far in
terms of picture quality and sound quality.
It's definitely worth getting the whole trilogy on blu-ray.

Disney has done it again...

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: AT WORLD'S END blew me away. The SFX and the picture looked amazing from beginning to end. With the SFX, the scene were all the rocks (in Davy Jones' Locker) turned into crabs, was amazing. I applaud to Disney for an outstanding Blu-ray!

A good addition to anyones collection

Huge fan of Disney but this one isn't up to the original, saying that the original was fantastic and hard to follow. Better than second one though.

Video,
Fantastic no problems at all.

Audio,
I'm no audiophile but no problems in my opinion

Extras,
Are pretty good and mostly in HD from what I watched. But didn't have anything on the list that got me excited. Disappointed by only having two deleted scenes and 5 minutes or so of bloopers.

Everything was Perfect

I enjoyed this movie just as much as Pirates 1 and 2. Everything is well worth its purchase. The sound (PQ, of course) is incredible. The extras are well done. The BD-java of the Maelstrom is the first "special" based extra I have tried, and it is by far my favorite.

This movie is 100% worth the purchase.

completeng pirates series, excellent PQ and SQ

although PQ/SQ can't bet ratatouille. All extras in hi-def. In UK, it's being released in two dual layer BDs. menu just looks like ratatouille.

great movie, great PQ..in 1080P

can someone delete these reviews which have low pq just because it says 1080i on the back...obviously they have never seen this blu ray disc because it is obviously a 1080p, and one of the best...perhaps people should not review before watching the thing. the 1080i on the back was a misprint..

Great Finale!

I'll only talk about the technical stuff as I figure people can make their own mind up about the movie itself.

VIDEO: First off, the 1080i thing, as many people have mentioned including Disney themselves, IS A TYPO. The film is actually at the full 1080p and glorious at that. You never lose detail, there's no signs of compression anywhere, it's as sharp as can be, very colorful, yet washed out when it needs to be (as intended). My one complaint was the brightness in a scene or two. The blacks could've been a bit more... blacky?

AUDIO: I came very close to giving this a 3.5 rating for the audio do to ADR problems. If you listen in a few scenes where Cutler Becket is speaking softly, you will hear massive ammounts of static. Also at the end when they start firing on his ship and he says "It was just... good business," you can hear where they fade in his dialogue due to the static. But other than that, it was a fantastic mix. The score really does a great job of filling the room (And actually working your sub). The sound effects are great as well. Aside from the horrible job on the dialogue, this is a great sounding movie.

EXTRAS: Wow! The only thing I would've liked here is a commentary or two. But other than that, the features are very informative and makes great use of the interactivity Blu-Ray provides. The Maelstrom Sequence Breakdown is my personal favorite. It really shows you what the filmmakers go through to put ginormous sequence like that together.

I dont see nothing bad about this movie

I dont know why there are some mix and negative comments about this movie.... maybe it is just they dont understand the movie unless you watch it with subtitles or Jack Sparrow never was drunk for the whole movie like the first and second film but that just a mess. This movie is far better than the first and second. I see no grain on this film cause i was thinking it was too much information when i saw the scene that you can clearly see Johnny Depp's deep skin pore, and those rocks so crisp and clear when he picks one up but it turn out to be the "crab fish".

Picture Quality is very AmAzInG!!!

Sound Quality is very Stunning if Listen to the Uncompressed Audio "PCM" in 5.1 48kHz/24-bit!!

Movie Itself is not Bad at All, cause it make sense if you watch this film with subtitle and it helps, then you will understand what the story is actually about.

I'm saying if you watch this film and miss something, you will think this movie sux... you must pay very CLOSE attention to understand what this film is about, it not all about the war... you gotta read!! Blu-ray 4 Life!! AAAAA++ Recommend for Anyone!!!

Did I miss something?

I don't understand the griping about this movie. How can you not enjoy such a fun ride? I guess some folks look a little too deep when it comes to entertainment. I don't know which of POC series is the best.

This was an awesome flick. My speakers loved it, my subwoffers loved it, my HDMI Plasma TV loved displaying it too. As with all Disney BD movies, it's a must buy, must own.
