Classic and timeless!

So excited about this movie. It gets fantastic treatment. The movie is of course excellent, not my favorite Disney movie and definitely not the best by far, but the impact it had on cinema can't go unnoticed.

PQ is excellent. For a 70 year old movie, I can't imagine it looking much better than this. Colors are crisp and the scenery just looks so clean.

AQ is pretty good. A 7.1 channel mix is pretty impressive for such an old release, unfortunately I only have it going through a 5.1 system. Orchestral parts sound fantastic, music is surreal, but there's just something there (or not there) that I can't give it more than a 4.

There are TONS of extras on here. Not to mention the DVD to take on the go or throw in a non-Blu room.

Overall, there is no reason not to have this movie in your collection. It's a must-own classic that redefined the film industry and it gets amazing treatment by Disney. I've never owned this movie so this was a no-brainer Blu purchase for me. Go buy this now!

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

This edition of Snow White is simply fantastic.
MOVIE (5): Is a classic. A wonder between animated films. Innovated a lot, not only on techniques, but also in character development, music, and plot. In this sense, Snow White seservs the greatest rating possible

VIDEO (5): Wow. If we consider that Snow White is almost 75 years old, we will discover that its video quality is amazing. The detail on Evil Queen's trone, The first image of the Dwarf's shack; The clarity when the dwarfs sing Heigh Ho!, The bright color of the Dwarf's wardrobes... It is just terrific.

AUDIO(4.5): The remasterization is realy good. It sounds strong and powerful, but it still has echoes and it lacks in clarity. It is a great idea to have the original audio.

EXTRAS (4.5): Impressive! They manage to cover the historical impact, behind the scenes (in an original way), games, BD-Live, and even some scenes of Disney's new film. But... my problem was that Hyperion Studios are not so convincing to me. They have too short featurettes, and more galeries than behind the scenes. I guess they are a focussed more in the beautiful menus instead than in the meaningfull content. But, all in all, Snow White presents incredible behind the scenes.

FINAL (5): Snow White, despites of audio and some low extras, deserves to be consider one of the best catalog Blu-Ray available. VERY RECOMMENDED

The Very First Full Lenght Cartoon

I never saw this at the theatre. But I did see Pinochio. It was great but I remember the video being kind of worn out. Now both Pinochio and Snow White look amazing! The image is always stable and clear with strong colors.
The audio DTS expands the sound and is very pleasant although nothing special.
What I was excited about was the extras and was not disappointed.
There are several Silly Symphony cartoons which are in good quality HD.
I've watched a lot of the extras explaining the movie. They're informative and fun.
So this fun to watch. My kids love it. And really this is 20th Century art.
Highly recommended.
Cheers.

Snow White comes to Blu-Ray!

I just bought the Diamond Edition Blu-Ray of Snow White and the film has never looked this good
before. The audio is quite good as well, not perfect but quite good. The Blu-Ray features a new
collection of special features which are very nice.

However I'll be holding onto my older 2001 Platinum Edition DVD of Snow White. Because many of
the great special features from the 2001 Platinum Edition DVD were not brought over to the Blu-Ray.

This new Blu-Ray of Snow White is worth the upgrade because of the of the Picture/Sound quality and
it's new special features. If you own the 2001 Platinum Edition DVD, I highly recommend you hold
onto that just for the special features that were not brought over the the Blu-Ray.

A beautiful 70 years old movie

Tha last time I watched this movie was years ago in a theater. Glad that it's been transferred to blu-ray so I can make this part of my disney collection, hopefully to pass onto future generations.

Video quality is excellent on a 55" Sony Bravia.

Audio lacks a bit probably because I only have a 5.1 system, but still pretty good.

I like the extras, brings back memories and make one feels young again.

A great classic now on Blu-Ray

No need to comment on the movie, is there anyone in this world who hasn't seen it? Video Quality is awesome for a film of this age. Audio Quality is very good, and includes a Restored Original soundtrack as well as a new 7.1 channel soundtrack. There are quite a few extras, including footage of Walt Disney's original animation studio. A great film in a great package, a must-have.

eat this apple

Disney View feature is incredible. BD Live surprisingly functional. Great PQ/AQ restoration. Annoying menus. Nice to include DVD for the kids. Can't believe auto-load previews are still around. Minor Disney quibbles & wasted gigabytes aside, if you paid more than 9.99 with all the promos, you got served. Restored PQ/AQ+Disney View=9.99? That's a gift from the studio to us. Considering I paid $$$ for the damn Laserdisc box, damn straight it's a gift.

" Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it's off to work we go " .............................

An instant classic has come home to blu. Snow White looks very nice in high-def but not as great as one would expect from Disney. AQ 7.1 surround was not to shabby, and with all the extra's thier is enough to keep you busy for a few hours.
