Spidey
I like to say this movie was a visual treat (sound,visual effects). The movie as a whole was spotty mess because there were to many characters and subplots that were not fleshed out. The concept of a Peter Parker embracing his dark side was a cool idea if they were not pressured to put out this PG-13 mainstream film. I would think with all the money spend on this film. I hope their is Director's cut in are future. The first misstep was Kristen Dunst singing, the second was casting Topher Grace in a role where he was given almost to done. The third casting the blonde girl as a love interest and for the record is neither pretty or able to act very well. I'm going to stop there. I think Sony Pictures put it's money where it's mouth is to market this movie and Blu-ray release. I like that they give us a choice of different soundtracks (PCM,Dolby TrueHD,Dolby Digital) |

great PQ and AUDIO, cant rate the extras cos i got the single disc version with my ps3, dont like the english/french package, but overall good film and good blu-ray release |

Spider-Man Bad Movie, Super Disc
I really did not enjoy the movie. I thought that it was too over the top and out there. It was pretty stupid at times with dumb dialogue, but you can't ignore the fact on how good of a disc it is. The video quality is stunning and can see every detail in everything. The audio is great, you can even hear people in the background, just shows how amazing the sound is. The extras were packed with a lot of interesting information. Overall, could of been a much better movie, but the disc could not of been better. Highly recommended for all fans of Spider-Man! |

Spidey 3...Good Enough For Me!
Many folks from superfans to the average man have knocked this film for having too many sub-plots and characters, and although I slightly agree I still know how to enjoy a film based on its entertainment value and this movie comes with a huge surplus of entertainment. Granted this is the worst of the three, it is nowhere near as bad as people say. It may not be Oscar material but it is a fun action-packed ride that I can enjoy over and over. The video transfer is amazing, check out the scene where the Sandman evolves at the test facility or the scene with Gwen and the crane at the photoshoot...incredible. It's definitely worthy of a buy! |

Was good not great
This was the first one of the spider mans that i have seen and i thought it was good. Not a fan of the actors in this movie but i got it for free with the 40gb ps3 and i have already seen it twice. |

Who needs Character Development?? It's Just Pure Fun!
Spiderman 3 finally gave me what I wanted...a full-on CGI fun-fest.There were enough sub-plots to keep it interesting. Picture is reference quality and DD 5.1 Audio is as well(I can't decode uncompressed PCM yet,so keep in mind). Watch for the picture detail when Sandman first forms...superb! If you want a great Action/Popcorn Movie to show off your Hi-Def picture...then this is the one! |

Great Blu-Ray Experience, though Spidey is not at his best
The movie is overall a bit shallow. It's all about the major battles between Spidey, Sandman and Venom and the movie is relying a little too much on those characters. As far as the acting goes, I've seen a lot better, especially in previous Spider-man movies.
The video on the other hand, is almost perfect. There is a little problem with the framedropping. Though, this delivers a great Blu-Ray experience, one of the best I've seen so far.
The Audio is decoded in DDPlus, so get ready to be amazed. It's a little disappointing that some of the audio tracks, FX and dialogues aren't really where they're supposed to be.
The extras include documentaries, bloopers and trailers. It was a big disappointment that there's just one TV spot in English on there, the rest is in different languages. That's just stupid. The documentaries are interesting to watch, but not as fresh and exciting as the ones on Spider-man 2.
Columbia has failed to deliver Spider-man 3 at his best at this format. |

Not Bad
I was a little disappointed with the movie itself. Although it does have it funny moments and lots of
action there are quite a few spots that I feel could have been shortened. They seem to focus the
story on Peter Parker's love life rather than develop the bad guys characters. Hopefully Spiderman 4
will be better but this is definietly worth a rental and maybe a purchase if you're a big fan. Overall
the Picture is outstanding and the Sound is even better. |

Good movie, but lacks some visual punch
The video was lacking in focus in some scenes, some pixels were visible in other scenes, and the colors were dull in some scenes. I was disappointed with the transfer to Blu-Ray DVD. If you look at the Pirates movies (1-3) you will see the difference. Disney seems to have a handle on producing Blu-Ray movies, so compare the two DVD's. The audio was perfect. I just wish they had spent the time to improve the video in order to make the movie experience perfect. |

Not the best but fun nonetheless
This one was a free one with my PS3. Although not the best of the series it was still enjoyable. A little bit more background on the alien suit would of help many I'm sure. Having read the comics (Secret Wars) on this I knew it's background so it wasn't an issue for me. I do understand why it was implemented this way though as you only have so much time to put on film.
BR experience was great audio and video are excellent but, as I've noticed on many BRs up to now...features seems to be lacking. Could of had more IMO. This seems to be the same pattern as when DVD first came out. If you like Spidey, I still believe it's a must if you don't have it yet. |

An Okay Blu-ray...
SONY Pictures' release of SPIDER-MAN 3 was okay.
MOVIE: Even though the film had good special effects and action sequences, the film lacked its potential as the previous two contained (even though all SPIDER-MAN films are not that great).
VIDEO: SPIDER-MAN 3 had great picture, making the visual effects look spectacular and as well the film looked crystal clear and sharp.
AUDIO: There were some moments that they talked abit too low and I had put the volume up a bit. The sound effects were okay, but they could have been done better.
Extras: The extras were okay as well. They had the same old Special Features as the previous two had--but in High Definition.
Overall, SPIDER-MAN 3 is a must have--along with 1 & 2--in your BLU-RAY collection. I am looking forward to SONY Pictures other releases as well as the rest of them. |

This terrible movie looks and sounds perfect on Blu-Ray
Spider-Man three is definitely one of the worst movies I have seen in a long time, and the only good thing I can say about the movie itself is the special effects are outstanding. Aside from that, the video is flawless, and with the choice of a lossless and uncompressed audio track, the sound is reference quality. Aside from some good extras, there isn't much to recommend here. (I am SO glad this came with my Playstation3 and I didn't actually go out and buy it). |

Not the Spiderman I know & love..
As a comic book fan, Spidey I & II left me speechless. Spidey III disappoints in every dept. Acting & storyline could not hold a candle to the prior episodes. PQ is very good, FX ranged from good to OK. Studios are going to learn the hard way that viewers are not going to put up with crummy CGI. With Blu you can see everything! Sound was very good in 5.1 DD, can't decode anything better. That will change in a week or two when my new AVR comes in, then I'll probably watch it one more time in 5.1 PCM.
Can't wait for "Daredevil" in Blu! |

Aweful movie, awesome special effects most of the time and top quality
I already seen this movie before I wathed it on blu-ray, so I knew how bad it was going to be. But I hope a very good looking transfer and that's how it was. Beautyful visuals, the audio was also very good and the extras were the same on DVD.
The special effects are sometime awsome (sand man!!!)and sometime ridiculous or just very bad(fight between spidey and goblin Jr. in a small alley). I'd recommend it to any spider-man fan how doesn't care about the story, unfortunatly. The two first were much much better (especially the second one) |

It's a bird!!!, It's a plane!!!, No Wait!!!, It's Spider-Man?!?
I actually like this one the best out of all 3. The PQ was great, but for some reason it didn't blow me
away. The audio was also okay. Extras were kind of bland, but whatev. I guess if you really like Spider-
Man buy it. I wouldn't say that this is a must have, but I got it free with my PS3 so I'm not
complaining. |

The weakest of the trilogy, but MAN DOES IT LOOK SWEET!!!
Once again, SONY does not fail to impress in PQ or SQ...but the overall story is just all over the place......one too many villains....you can tell that Sam Raimi didn't have much of a say in production....but the trilogy is a SUPER nice box set to have. (why can we not review the other Spidey movies Webmaster?? They're out on Blu-ray!!!) |

Some people should maybe watch this again
Holy cow I don't agree with most of these reviews sorry. I read Spiderman through the 80's and early 90's and I thought this movie was great...comon people. Oh well can't win em all, anyway the pq ad aq were absolutely amazing..wow!! My favorite scene is the Sandman transformation scene. Very well done and great music |

Great Movie
I am a Spiderman fan & I thought that this was a terrific movie. I have enjoyed all three, & hope they make a 4th.
I knocked the VQ to 4 It actually seemed to me once the move started playing that the quality of the video dropped. Maybe it's just me. I did not have time to read what other people said about that.
The AQ was pretty good. I gave that a 4.5.
The extras are pretty blaaaaa really it IMO is a bunch of needless info
Overall I gave it a 4. I hope that do make another, & I hope the VQ gets better. This is another movie I would like to watch an upverted standard DVD to see if I waisted $30.00 Ouch! |
