Pretty good and sexy
The rock was my favorite wrestle, so I watch it just for him, he actually ok in acting, the movie is bad as some said, it does has some hot scene no sex scene here, but there's some very nice hot scene from kelly hu, wish we see more of her in movie, she is very nature beuty without much of make up, and GI was pretty good at that time, does get you some sense of mummu alike, but no mummu, great ending. |

Great fun
Really liked this movie, hadn't seen it. Many said it was a crap movie but is was really good and The Rock show how good an actor he is!
The PQ and SQ were really nice too...some dull looking snake CGI were just fun to watch

Entertaining Action Movie
I'm probably one of the few people that enjoyed The Scorpion King more than either of the Mummy movies. I thought it was a great mix of action and humor even if a few lines in the movie didn't have the greatest delivery. Anyway, thankfully Universal didn't neglect this movie so it looks and sounds pretty good. Some scenes even look great but it's also one of those times where the CGI occasionally sticks out like sore thumb due to the high definition. Bottom-line, the picture and sound quality are good and the movie is entertaining. If you're a fan of The Rock or action movies, I'd recommend giving The Scorpion King a shot. |

"Live free." "Die Well." "Rule well."
This film (I think the second that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson ever starred in) is something of a spin-off of the “Mummy” movies, which first introduced the mythology of the Scorpion King to cinema. I don’t know how much of this is accurate (I presume that nothing is), but in a similar manner to “Conan The Barbarian” this flick is entertaining (but not as brutal or original).
The story is not bad (albiet, it is rather typical and unoriginal). The plot has a decent pace; there is quite a bit of fun action scenes, comedy, romance, and adventure throughout. The characters are average; acting and writing are just okay. Photography is decent. Production design (sets, props, costumes) is good. The music rocks.
The disc has good quality; the video seemed a bit soft and grainy to me, but it is still sharper than I recall. I could even tell that the special effects were fake. Sound quality is great. As far as extras go, this disc only a commentary and some BD-Live/U-Control stuff. |

Its ok
To me it look like a low budget production, and half of the movie made no historical sense what so ever. It was an ultimate cheesefest, but it was mildly entertaining. Most of the movie was neat and clear, but gezz can the CGI look any worse? Overall If you liked the Mummy movies, stay the hell away from this one. On the other hand, if you a fan of the Marine, or any testosterone induced wrestle mania, then this is the flick for you. |
