Fantastic Movie!
Awesome addition to the Transporter. Better than the Transporter IMO.
A must own for all whom enjoy movies that are action packed. Good PQ
and excellent SQ. Jason's Audi rocks....the car scene with Jason driving
the Lamborghini is absolutely phenomenal. Highly recommended.

Pretty good early release Blu-ray Movie
I this movie free for buying the PS3, is not as good Transporter one story, but the PQ and SQ
is good, especially SQ, DTS Master is among the very best sound codec you can buy, the PQ is
good, no grain issue just sin't as sharp, but is pretty good PQ in distance. Extra just trailers
but they all in hd. Wroth rental for sure, own one i not so sure. |

Transport'en Action!
I really like the first move, and now I like the second movie too. This movie is almost as good as the first movie, but it is still really good. Once again, great acting by Jason Statham! The BD has the same special features as the first one. Looking at the Reviewer's ratings for all the Transporter movies, I thought the movies would be bad. I'm not sure how these movies were rated so low by the Reviewer. I recommend you watch this movie!
PQ: The Video was better than the first movie. The Video is bright, clear, and sharp. Good PQ!

Frank Martin cartoon character........................................
Transporter 2 is not to be taken seriously. With much more over the top action sequences and some cheeseball acting, this trip is worth taking but it's far from a realistic adventure. This time Frank is tearing up the roads in Miami and his detective pal from Paris drops in as the comic relief Stathem gives his usual solid cool Bond esque performance and the rest of the cast gets as animated as live action can get. Props to Fox for another great Blu, PQ & AQ are solid in all areas and only the extra's lack. It would have been nice to get a commentary. Oh well, on to Transporter 3.................. |

My First Blu-ray Movie
This movie is the reason I kept buying more blu-rays. The story is good but it gets a little over the top. The PQ and SQ is what makes this a keeper. |

This movie is way better than Transporter 1 and 3 for that matter.. More action, better storyline and PQ/SQ is 5/5 must own for Jason Statham fans |

Of the blu-rays I've seen...this is the best looking
Movie...I bet this wont' be as popular a review as some of the others because I actually thought it was great...better than the first. When I watch a movie like Transporter (2), I expect it to b exciting, entertaining, fast-paced and explosive. That's exactly what this movie is!! It definitely follows the formula of the first movie (maybe a little too much) but I thought it was great, it never stopped, and kept me engrossed the entire time...I could definitely watch it over and over.
PQ...AMAZING...I will make this short because it's up there with Hellboy 2 for the best looking blu-ray I've seen PQ-wise, I couldn't believe how detailed everything looked in almost EVERY scene. I rarely give 5.0 ratings for PQ but this movie deserves it
AQ...almost as good as the PQ...excellent use of the channels, solid quality, everything fit perfectly, and this also deserves a 5.0 audio rating.
Overall...buy this, it's already in the cheaper bins, and is worth every penny. I give this an extremely high recommendation |

Alright
The movie was good, but not great. The sound was really good, but the extras had nothing. I did rent the movie from Netflix and I only got one disc, so MAYBE if there WAS another disk it had better special features, but I don't know if there was a second disk. Overall I say it would be worth a rent! |

Better Than Expected
I had seen pieces of this movie over the years on cable, but never sat down and watched it in its entirety. I really liked the 1st, so I decided to take the plunge and bought the 2-pack at a good price. I'm glad I did.
I'll preface by saying I've read the mixed reviews and sat down with an open mind, albeit with low expectations. While there were several "cheesy" sequences (specifically the climactic ending sequence), I still found the action to be very fast-paced and entertaining. As cliche as it may be, this movie is what it is. It doesn't take itself too seriously, and we shouldn't either. I've seen far worse movies (including the abyssmal 3rd entry in this series).
The PQ is rather impressive given the somewhat outdated mpeg-2 codec. The close-ups show great clarity and substantial detail - every wrinkle, whisker, bead of sweat, etc. If I have any complaint in this area it would be the color seems way overblown. There is sort of a golden glow in every shot, actors have deep tans, and colors border on being too rich. Note: I had to check my settings to make sure I didn't inadvertently switch it to Vivid. In other words, there isn't an ounce of realism in the color department. Some people like it; myself, I wanted it toned down just a notch. Still, it seems to be a directorial choice and I have a hard time imagining this film looking any better than the presentation here. It looks quite good for what it is.
AQ is where this movie really makes its impact - literally. To be direct, my sub couldn't handle every bone-crunching hit, explosion, gunshot, etc., of which there are plenty. The bass slammed my chest and truly felt like I was right there in the action, taking the blows from Frank. Additionally, the Dynamic Range was much greater than the 1st film as each gunshot roared and bullets whizzed through the entire soundstage. There wasn't as much directionality through the surrounds as I remember noting of the 1st film, but there was certainly more oomph, presence, and ambience in this entry. Dialogue was sharp, crisp, and precise - I didn't strain once to hear what was being said. Another superb DTS-HD MA encoding.
I recognize that Transporter 2 may not be for everyone, and it is decidedly different than the original. Still, there were moments in this movie that made me laugh (not all were intended by the director, but I digress...). There seemed to be a concerted effort to pay homage to the first entry in the series (the opening credits in the garage, Frank pulling up in front of his first assignment and looking at the doors, and yes, even the oil-slick fight sequence). I found these instances to be a nice touch and helped me to ground this edition in the Transporter universe. I enjoyed it and would recommend it. |

Absolutely ridiculous...in a good way
Just got this Blu-Ray in the mail. The picture and sound were good. They never seemed spectacular
but everything was perfectly satisfactory and I didn't pick up on any negatives. Never seen this
movie before but I laughed when the credits rolled. The movie is just that crazy. So much of this
movie belongs to the hyper-realism that was Crank and not to the Trasporter series at all but it
doesn't ruin the movie. What hurts it the most are the horrible supporting actors, the usage of
random characters (feels like a Michael Bay film), and the laughable CGI. The fight scenes, however,
are wildly inventive. Jason Statham's work in the genre rivals the likes of Matt Damon in the Bourne
series and Jet Li at his best. Definitely check this out although I don't if I could recommend this for a
purchase. |

A mediocre flick...
What can I say? This movie was a bit of a disapointment in relation to how awesome the first Transporter was. Super cheesy special effects, cheesy action shots, borderline stupid plot and characters... the only thing that held this together were the car chase scenes, the fight scenes, Jason Statham, and François Berléand (Inspector Tarconi). Other than that, the rest was garbage.
PQ and AQ weren't bad, but weren't anything to cheer about either. |
