Overtwisted plot
I think the plot shouldn't have been made so twisted. I agree that it is entertaining, but when you think about this whole affair taking place in real life, you would definitely foresee that somewhere in the middle the whole thing would fail. But as an incredible affair it is fun to trace through the movie. PQ is clear, but during the view from the top at the beginning and some other bright and picturesque scenes I wanted it to look more vivid. Audio is very crisp for this kind of movie, speech is well-defined. Though the rear channels needed more pressure.
Surprisingly, there is no single bonus on this disc, which is absolutely uncommon. But I usually don't care about special features, and this film doesn't cry for having any. |

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels for the New Generation
I didn't notice the vibrating motion in the video so it can't be that bad. It is an amazing improvement over the DVD version. I watch this movie maybe a couple times a month. And yes the audio is surprisingly good for this kind of movie, giving realism and atmosphere as you watch. I liked how the plot was intricate. The movie engages your mind as well as your senses. Recommended for both men and women. I think the possibility of new extras being made is small, so don't let the extras stop you from purchasing. |

"YOU WERE SUPPOSE TO SPY ON THEM, NOT TO FILM SOME KIND OF PORNO"
This is a sexy modern day film noir with plenty of twists. The Florida locations give the film an added sensuality and sexiness. If you like movies like Body Heat then this should be right up your alley. Definitely NOT for children and seeing Denise Richards and Neve Campbell make out in a pool is soooooooo HOT!!!!
Overall the Blu-Ray looks and sounds very nice
This is a nice "B" movie to have in the collection

Reversal... reversal... reversal... fumble!!!
This was the first time I saw this movie - and watched it with an open mind. The storyline itself started off with a promise, but then the plot twists and subtwists left me bewildered. Some of the characters were not developed very well - and interpersonal relationships that could've been exploited to better the movie were not even used in the final cut (some of it was explained in short takes between credits).
The PQ was good... Definitely not in the same class with Pirates of the Caribbean or Apocalypto - but good. There was some grain in the shadows of the darker shots - but even in those scenes, the AVC bit rate was in the mid- to high 20 Mbps range. A couple of reviewers (DVDTown and one other) state that the PQ is not better than the DVD. Despite not having seen the DVD, I find this hard to believe. I rate the PQ at 8/10.
AQ was great - with uncompressed PCM. The opening composition, especially, with the lows and highs coming through very nicely. The dialogue could be heard clearly with no garbling...
Extras: Didn't see any - there wasn't even an option on the main menu.
Recommendation: probably worth a view. Personally: I wouldn't save this movie in my personal collection (with so many good/excellent releases on BD, shelf space is at a premium!!). |

Good PQ but master shakes!
Just like the DVD versions, the master is plaqued with a "vibrating" motion in most scenes. You would of thought Sony would have fixed this in the hi def release. Other than that it looks really good. |
