A new trailer has been released for director Katie Aselton's second feature film Black Rock (2012), starring Kate Bosworth, Katie Aselton, and Lake Bell. Based on a script by Mark Duplass (Your Sister's Sister, Jeff, Who Lives at Home), the film is set to open in theaters across the United States in May 2013.
Official synopsis: Three childhood friends set aside their personal issues and reunite for a girls' weekend on a remote island off the coast of Maine. One wrong move turns their weekend getaway into a deadly fight for survival.
This looks very good. I remember reading about it when it was at Sundance. I'm assuming the trailer will be attached to The Collection as that's also from LD Entertainment. Hopefully they're planning on releasing this wide as well. Rotten Tomatoes says wide but they get it wrong a lot. I'll certainly go see it if it shows here though.
I saw it at the Fantasy FilmFest in Berlin this August and also didn't liked it that much.
It received 3 out of 10 stars from me.
Don't spend money on it in the cinema, a rental will suffice.
@thedarkangel1975: If you don't know "how (you) feel about it," then how can you say in the very next string of words that you "feel" like you're watching a Lifetime film. That would indicate that you DO know how you feel about it.
Personally, I thought the trailer pretty much showed the entire movie, leaving nothing worth paying to see. Short of not knowing who, exactly, gets blown away, the rest of the movie, including the ending has been given away.
