This will be awesome (I HOPE)! I am a fan of Warwick Davis. Like all the movies I have seen him in (my faves being The 10th Kingdom TV Mini Series and the Leprechaun series). Can't wait for March!
Much better cover art than the dvd had, the new color scheme looks like their aim is to appeal to fans of LotRs and The Hobbit. Might not be final though, as there's no mention of THX on the front or spine.
I probably haven't seen this in 20 years, one of my most wanted fantasy films on blu ray. Though after watching the trailer I have a feeling it will not have aged very well when I see it again.
Ironically this is the Lucas production that will probably be the original untouched version on Blu-Ray, when it would actually benefit from a CG makeover. The morphing FX were grounbreaking and still hold up, but some of the matte lines and stuff like that stop-motion two-headed dragon creature looked pretty sketchy even back in the late eighties.
@Moulin - Yeah, the marketing's pretty HEAVILY hoping we'll get our fantasy midgets confused (even the ones dressed as wizards), but Val Kilmer is no Viggo Mortensen.
@EricJ - I always thought that Mad Mardigan was more modeled after Han Solo than Aragorn. A scoundrel, a ladies man, scum with a true heroic and honorable streak....sounds like both Solo and Mardigan.
