British label Network Distributing has acquired 450 titles from StudioCanal, amongst them many important classics. The label will use new transfers for all of the titles that will appear on the home video market.
The first titles are expected in April, but preliminary specs are yet to be announced.
Amongst the different titles acquired by Network Distributing are Spanish Fly (Bob Kellett), Some People (Clive Donner), Horrors of the Black Museum (Arthur Crabtree), Flying 55 (Reginald Denham), The Man Who Haunted Himself (Basil Dearden), Penny Paradise (Carol Reed), Midshipman Easy (Carol Reed), Escape (Basil Dean), and The Impassive Footman (Basil Dean).
Note: Recent Blu-ray releases from Network include Carol Reed's Odd Man Out, William Cameron Menzies' Things to Come, and Alfred Hitchcock's The Lodger.
All right, The Man Who Haunted Himself AND The Man Who Haunted Himself (italicized version!) Awesome! JK. Seriously though, be interesting to see what comes out of this.
