Deformed Notre Dame bellringer Quasimodo (Tom Hulce, Amadeus) makes his first real friend, Esmeralda (Demi Moore, Ghost), he doesn't realize he'll soon be fighting to save the people and city he loves and calls home: Paris. The story continues in The Hunchback of Notre Dame II as Quasi reunites with his gargoyle friends -- Hugo (Jason Alexander, Seinfeld), Victor (Charles Kimbrough, Murphy Brown) and Laverne (Jane Withers, replacing the late Mary Wickes) -- to protect the cathedral's most famous bell and find true love.
Both 1080p/AVC-encoded high definition films will be housed on a single BD-50 disc (each with a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround track), and two standard DVDs -- one for each movie -- will round out the 3-disc set. Special features include:
I'll own, I'll own 'em all (OK not all, never gonna get Oliver & Co for example). Sadly though by craming two movies on the disc (one no one gives a crap about) there's less room for Bonus Features, that list looks pretty sparse. But oh well.
Love the cover art, and I can even forgive the gargoyles shoved in because there is no visual reference to the DTV sequel. Can't wait! This is one of my favorite of the 90s animated releases.
