First Look at Dreamworks' Turbo

Posted December 20, 2012 04:49 PM by Webmaster

DreamWorks AnimationDreamworks Animation has released the first trailer for their upcoming film Turbo (2013), featuring the voices of Ryan Reynolds, Paul Giamatti, Maya Rudolph, and Luis Guzmán. Currently, Turbo is set to open in theaters across the United States on July 19th.

From the makers of Madagascar and Kung Fu Panda. DreamWorks Animation's Turbo is the story of a snail who dreams of being the greatest racer in the world, just like his hero, 5-time Indianapolis 500 champ, Guy Gagné. Turbo's obsession with speed and all things fast has made him an outsider in the slow snail community, and a constant embarrassment to his cautious older brother, Chet.

Not sure about this one but hey I didn't think I'd like How To Train your Dragon or Antz either.

If "A Bug's Life" and "Cars" mated...

The first time they announced it, some of us on the animation boards thought they were kidding.
No, seriously: We THOUGHT someone was doing a bad parody on third-party assembly-line "Underdog wants the impossible" CGI Ratatouille-clone formulas, and our expectations that DW would steal Cars 2 the minute the trailer hit. And even then, we gave it three months tops before they would fold the project.

Awful... somebody run over the snail or me so I don't have to watch this thing.

From the makers of Madagascar and Kung Fu Panda, DreamWorks Animation desperately wants to replicate the success of CARS.

For a second, I thought it was based on Turbo, the bad guy from Wreck-It Ralph, but then I remembered that was Disney and nobody wants to watch a movie about the bad guy from that movie!

This will automatically be better than CARS just because it's not about cars...with eyes and mouths.

So it's basically Ratatouille starring a snail with an obsession for racing instead of food... Yeah, this might suck.

it's crazy hw people are so judge mental about thing's.i mean this is only 1 trailer so far and people just bash it for it being a little slow off start.i mean let a movie open up it's wing's and grow on people.sheehh

@The Bluray King: Nobody here is crazy, man. The premise of the movie is straight stupid! Oh, and what is "sheehh"?

I hate snails, slugs, worms, snakes etc, all slimey creatures like that make me squirm. I guess I have a phobia against them. Just watching the trailer made me go yuck!

I love these style of race cars. And with DreamWorks superior skills at making animated 3D movies this aught to be pretty cool.

Pixar's "Cars" meets Nascar ugh. Where are the people with a vested interest in the history of film? It seems to me that they had better and more original ideas for movies. Sad very sad.
